Delrin Valve

When did Smart Parts begin making this the standard valve on the impulse? What serial number? (roughly)

I believe they started just before the 5000 series, I've got them in both of mine, Ser #'s 4744 and 7000. Why do ya have SS?

I was just curious... The Impy that I'm buying is in the high 5000's so I dont think I have to worry about it. By the way is there any real benefit having the delrin valve? Or is it one of those hype things?

There're a couple of bennies! First is wear, Delrin won't wear the insides outta of your marker, and it's more flex-friendly making it less likely to break! The other factor is lubin' (which really goes back to the wear factor) Delrin has excelllent self lubin qualities, so all ya gotta worry about is the o-ring.

The delrin valve is also lighter which means less force to open it.

thats funny, my impulse serial number is 2661 and when i gave my gun to werm to have him install the werm frame, i aksed him to also put in a delrin valve. when i got the gun back he said take off 10 $ for the delrin valve. i said wow your not charging me ? he said no u already have one in the gun. i just thought its funny cause i have an old imp and mine had the delrin valve in it all along maybe my case is an exception

mine is #4335, and ive got steel valve, i think they have no official starting number, just throw different parts in different guns, maybe theyve got a big bin, and just grab parts outta those

smart parts is somewhat unorganized like that, with the serial number and different parts on the impulse. o well i luv my impulse and im thankful to have mine the way it is haha:)
