I just got my new rebel bottomline and gave my point zero model 83 to my bro. When he was shooting today, it would double-fire after about 10 shots. Why? Can I do anything to help him so he doesn't get his ***** whooped in a game?

Check to make sure the ball dent is still there and intact.

check for dust in the gun, take a vacum....

Or check the sear... (if the model 83 as one)

It shoots 2 balls out. And one always breaks.....

hes missing the ball detent. thats what stops guns from doubloe feeding

It is there. What I meant to say is that it shoots 2 balls and goes boom boom. Will it be an o-ring inside the gun?

No, not oring, its usually a thing that stick out into infront of the bolt and in front of where the feed is. If you load a ball, and face the gun down, does the ball roll down? It could also be a wire nubbin, used in mags.

I know what the ball detent looks like. I was just wondering if an o-ring is broken inside somewhere.

BUT

on another note:
It only double-fires when a paintball is loaded

Take your barrel off and drop a ball into the feed. Hold the gun facing down. Does the ball roll out??

he said that the detent is still there. anyway, maybe the sear isn't catching after the first ball is shot. he said two balls shoot AND it goes boom boom. just a suggestion.

It dosent matter the balls coulr still roll out with the ball detent is there..it could be pushed back..it happend on my raptor when i used it :)

yeah, but he also said that the actual gun is going off twice, which would mean a problem with the sear. then again, he said that it only double fires when it is loaded. so maybe it IS only the detent. im confused:confused: !

OK......This is getting confusing so I'll explain the ENTIRE story one more time.
HERE IT GOES:

Whenever I shoot no paintballs (just co2 coming out) it doesn't go boom boom and double-fire. BUT, when I have a few paintballs in the hopper and I begin to shoot, it goes boom boom (really quick) and 2 paintballs come out.

SO...
WHAT IS WRONG?



P.S. I think I am using a very small bore (those gator black ones from RPS I think)
