I have seen many Tippmann Custom 98flatline pics with several different scopes. I would like to ask four things:

1) Are they helping sniping? (accuracy)
2) Which scope do you recommend? Where I can found it?
3) For snipping with Tippmann Custom 98 flatline what paintballs to use? Some told me to freeze the paintballs before...
4) If you recommend any other barrel plz let me know!

Thanks!!!

If you freeze your paintballs, you're going to have some guys pounding on you after the game. Don't EVER freeze your paintballs. That's just cruel.

1) The Flatline does not improve accuracy. In my opinion, it made it worse. (I owned a J&J, then got a flatline, and I've gone back to my J&J.)

2) Just get a 1x red dot sight. Scopes with any more magnification are fairly pointless. Paintballs don't always fly straight, no matter how good your setup, and so the purpose of a scope is moot. Just get a 25 mm, 1x red dot sight or something. You can keep both eyes open that way, when you aim.

3) If you're going to insist on using a flatline (which I don't recommend), go with Marbs. But like I said...

4) I would recommend either a J&J Ceramic or J&J Pro-1 (I own the new Pro-1, and I like it a lot), or go with a Smart Parts All American. They're more pricey, but I've heard excellent reviews on them.

THe key to "sniping" is being quiet, and stealthy. Accuracy is second. Build yourself a good ghillie suit, and quiet your gun as much as possible. Learn how to belly crawl, walk heel to toe, slowly, and take the "road less travelled." Go through areas others wouldn't want to. You have more of a chance on sneaking up on someone and getting in some good "sniping."

u don't need to use marbs for the flatline. u don't need to use high priced paint on it. AND DON'T even think about freezing ur paint. only stupid dipShlTs do that, u can really get someone hurt.

Thanks for the advice. Someone suggested to freezed my paintballs, I haven’t tried it yet, and that’s why I asked. But I could really use some extra advise on what type of balls I should use for better accuracy with my flatline barrel. J&J ceramic 12” or 14”? Any other barrel?

Thanks...

You really should just try a bunch of different brands after you get whatever barrel you choose to get. You will eventually find the balls that work the best for your setup.

I dont think 12" or 14" makes a diff and it will be easier to aim with a 12", id go for 12

Adco hotshots are good, cheap sights, and I think they come with a lifetime warrenty (sp?)
