I had the most fun saturday. We were playing a capture the flag game, with the two bases about 1/8 of a mile apart, and i made the most spectacular flag grab.

Me and one of my buddies were stationed on a hill adjacent to our fortress where we could see any enemy advancement. After a few minutes of waiting, we noticed that the entire team was going to attack from the left side of our fort. I didn't want a long game that would take up all of our playing time, so I took matters into my own hands. The idea was to run as fast as I possibly could and grab the flag. I set my gun, my ammo tubes, and my remote on the ground, took a deep breath, and sprinted to the enemy village. It was quite a thrill, speeding through the woods, not knowing if I had been spoted by the enemy. I returned to our fort and the ref called game. All this occured with only about 10 shots fired and no eliminations on either side.

You guys ever tried anything like this before?

I cringe at consequences like what TL experienced. The closest thing to rushing a flag was rushing a far bunker off the start, and i barely made it.....right after i layed down about 20 shots hit the bunker.

One of our Capture the Flag tactics calls for massing as many people as we can as close to the enemy flag as possible, then, when the Ref calls one minute, everyone stands up, guns blazing and rushes for the flag.

This isn't a center flag tactic. The game we use it in ... there's only one flag, and the attackers have to take if from the defenders.

I play out at my summer cabin on the beach because ther are a bunch of big logs and Rocks and other stuff to hide behind.

We played center flag, with the flag just sitting out in plain site on a medium size rock. So i gave one of my team mates the gun and sprinted for the flag. Rght as i got to the flag 3 balls bounced off me so i lay down behind the rock. But it was to small for me at 6'1" so I grabbed the flag off the top of the rock and jammed it under the rock on my side. Then I got pelted in the head. The other team had no chance at getting it because it was on our side ..and they eventually lost.

i've pulled one of those, not to that extent though. i was playing w/ friends, like you, and a kid was perched up behind a tree on a hill gaurding his flag while the rest of the team was out for our flag, so it came down to one on one. the barrel of his gun was the only thing sticking out. i put down my gun took about 10 step and was under heavy fire. ran back picked up my gun and went rambo on him. the only thing between me and the end on his barrel were the balls i was frantically shooting. i run up to about 10 feet infront of him grab the flag, and run like H3LL back to my base didn't even stop for a second, turns out i hit him while i was running to get the flag and i was the only person shooting the whole way back. hahahaha. major adrenaline rush though
