Finally, ive decided what to do as far as a gun goes. Im giving back the shocker, selling the timmy, and saving. I want to get 2500 dollars, and buy a dream setup. This weekend i played a game with an adrenaline angel, and i couldnt believe it. I figure it will take me about 6 weeks to save up enough, so what do u guys think would be the nicest angel setup. Also, waht other angels would u recomend, other then an adrenaline, like a dark, cobra, mamba, etc. Let me know what u guys think , and post some of the nicest setups u can think of. I got a while to save up, but might as well start thinking now.

what, like 3 months ago.... you were all in the timmy. until that gave u problems. then the shocker.... and finally back to the angel. should've just got an angel in the first place, would have save u $$$$$$$$, and stress.

The beauty of it was i never payed for the shocker, my friend had bout it, dindt like it because he was used to the cocker trigger pull, so he was gonna sell it to me. I told him id pay him when is odl the timmy, but i gave it back.

Ne ways, im thinking about an adrenaline with a mounian dew paint job. I started a thread on wher ei ocudl find one, and then im thinking one of the new green maxflows and a boomy.

get a bonebrake angel!! talk to Dan he'll get you set up with a sweet angel. i really like darks but i think they are kinda spendy for some nice milling and warranty. why not just get a C&C get it bonebroken, a freak, a geddon or maxflow a HALO (gotta feed it ;) ) and what ever other goodies you want cause you'll have money left . . .

if you want performance..... adrenalin, cobra, and bonebrake.... those are your best bet. for air system.... its your preference.... the new max flo's are nice.... however it needs tlc, to be in peak performance all the time. for barrel.... any barrel system.... like a freak anodized in that mountain dew color you want.

Are you going mostly for function looks or both? Hell, I'm guessing both since you are going to spend that much.:) Whatever you end up getting, definetly throw a matching freak on it.

I plan on it. I just found the gun at this site called buypb.com, and they sell the guns and matching parts, like freaks, boomstick, etc.all anodized to the fades of the gun.

umm...yes... that is adrenaline's website.

so... of course they are gonna have everyhthing for every adrenaline.

I would get the adrenaline if you could. but you will end up spending 1800 on the marker alone... put on the freak.
I would say get a matching maxflow instead fo teh angel air.
get a halo or a ricochet.

that **** would be perfect.

either that, or bonebrake or mamba.

any would be sweet.

but when you get up that high... only the color schemes and accessories matching would differ.

so... go whichever one you want.

but dont get anythign besides

adrenaline, cobra/mamba, or bonebrake.

i owuldnt suggest an adreniline i owuld go iwth a n led with some goodies or a DYE ironmen

Ive thought about the mamba, the cobra, and the dark angel, but i like the adrenaline the most. Like u guys said, when ug et that high, performance is basically the same, and cosmeitcs are the only differene, and i like the adrenaline the best. I hate the cheezy millingon the dark angels, and the cobra just doesnt appeal really. Plus i love the fact the adrenaline comes with the lifeimt warrenty card with id picture, and the air assist.

Just a question, but will adrnelaine be coming out with a 2002 lcd modle ne time soon, or when they came out with the lcd model, that was it for a while.

Well if you ask me I like the elements my nanny shoots one and loves it so I would go with that and get a matching barrel which can be done if you ask for an extra penny of course and about the angel airs I'm not too sure because I have 2 friends with them and they have problems here and their but I don't know if their doing something wrong or its the tank but I talked to Chris Lasoya and he says that he doesn't like them honestly and your better off getting 2 screw in tanks because the newer screw in tanks have high flow rates which can do just as well as a regulated tank as in a angel air or conquest.

Well, i know the angel air sucks, it is impossible to fine tune, and it breaks down often. I was thinking about jsut getting a pmi pure enrgy 68 4500 psi, but have it factory preset at like 450psi?
I mean, why buy an adjustable tank when i have apreset set to the right output, and save money?

Why would you want to preset the tank at 450? The gun runs at 380psi and the tank should be 200psi above what the gun is running at.

First where did you hear that AIR sucks?? I have one and it's the best tank I've had on my Angel. I've owned it for 9 months now and have never had a problem. Some of the early one had problems, but those problems were worked out a long time a go.

You are planning on spending all kinds of money on a high end custom Angel and then going to put a Pure Energy tank on it? Bad move. With an Angel its either an AIR, Max-Flow or Conquest. Those are going to be your top performers.

If you want to save $$ why not get a different gun?? You can get an Ultimate Impulse package for less than $1000 and after a replacement trigger and delrin bolt it will be a top performer. Don't get me wrong here, I own an Adrenalin Angel and would not trade it for the world. But you do not buy a Ferrari and put an 8 track tape player in it. (OK extreme example but it's late and I'm tired.)

Setting that tank to 450psi will make you a VERY unhappy camper. Leave it at it's factory settings if you are even getting that tank. The reduced output pressure will kill you when you start ripping on the trigger and you are getting shootdown.

Anyway, good luck with your decision. I don't post here often but was in the neighborhood tonight. :D C-YA

My friend had an angel air, and its very very picky. Its hard to get fined tuned, and hes had problems with the pressure settings, so im just going to go with something a little less c comlicated. how about a 201 cetnerflag hyperflow?

The mac dev stuff really is great. I have a Mac dev Conquest on a Shocktech rail. Not the D/F. I migh be putting on a Gladiator instead of the mini reg. The glad just doesn't fit right on the thing though. I might do it if/when I start having problems with the mini.

You are so right. Use your thumbs to turn it off. Use your palm to turn it on. It's still better than the old Apocalypse valves. At least the one that I had. Even right after cleaning and re greasing it.

okay heres the run down
1)go with the adrenaline, its just better(im all about the air assist)
2)for the tank get something high end,but i wouldnt go with the AIR, if for no other reason, than that their heavy i also recommend getting a 3000psi tank over a 4500 if you can find em(there becomeing pretty rare,at least over here), mainly because higher pressure isnt going to get you crap, if you cant get it filled that high(unless your the feilds you go to have good compressors)
3) get the freak, and if you can get the chrome back peice(much nicer), also if you dont mind the length get the all american tip(i think the shortest is a 14" or 16") i, and many other people i know will swear by them.
4) as for the hopper the Halo is nice but i have a couple of concerns, a, its the first model, and their is bound to be something wrong with it, tis the curse of model #1, b, not speaking from experience here but ive heard that they are actually quite large, with that in mind remamber that the adrenalines do have intellifeed and air assist, so that might be a better rout until you hear more info on the halo.

that just my 2 cents

I totally agree with PA...
adrenaline all the way.
its not even a competition.
the only other two angels that come remotley close are the Bonebrake mod, and the mamba.
the adrenaline gives you more options (intelli feed, air assist, etc)

tank? I would disagree.. .go 4500. if you are gonna spend money on a tank, get the most out of it. my first choice would be maxflow.

I would get a freak annodized to match the color of my adrenaline.

hopper? revy with the x-board.... halos are just too damn big. (and heavy... 6 double A batteries? it throws it off balance)

so that would be the dream setup.... unfortunatley I dont own one of them... I shoot matrix, 68/4500 nitroduck tuffskin, 12in freak, ricochet 2k.... damn nice setup... but I would trade it all for just the adrenaline any day.

Easier said then done. U dont need 2300 bucks for everything or have your Intimidator with Bob long to get fixed so it can be sold, or have a spyder you need to sell, or have to worry about still buying ur girlfreind a christmas present, do you:eyes:

Im working on it though. I have 2000, but i want to sell the timmy first and have the money before i buy the gun. Plus, i want to have at least 500 bucks after this purchase so i can pay for gas, car insurance, gf, etc..

actually im really going to suggest the 3000psi tank. assuming your feild doest have a mecca 4500 compressor(which most feilds dont), you will have substantionally less air. a 68ci, 4500psi tank filled to 3000psi will give you the air equivalent of a 45ci tank. (68/4500 =x/3000, x==45.3333) now do you really want to spend more money to get a 45ci tank? no. i have been a scuba diver since long before a paintball play, and thus have work with compressed air alot. lower pressure is better, trust me on this one.

on air system, if your going to spend that much money on an angel... either wdp AIR, or mac dev conquest.... and don't get 3000, get 4500, why? cuz most fields do upgrade, and you don't want to be left in the dust with a 3000, while everyone else has a 4500, or even higher than that.

on air system:

WDP AIR: can be single regulated to gun, mini-reg can be used as a gas-thru, if single regulated run pressure around 300 psi, to get 285 fps. or can be dual regulated. imagine on a 68/4500, you get around 2000 shots, while most presets get around 1300, and other adj. get around 16-1700 shots.

or conquest: lightest tank out there, cheaper than air, great and suggested that gun setup is dual regulated, to control shootdown, and spiking.

conquest + gasthru isn't a bad idea.. its been done and surprisingly enough, with good results.

talk to tank :) he had good experience w/ conquest + gasthru

but most of the time go w/ it double regulated :)
