i can't get the valve out of my vcompact! i took out the brass screw at the bottom but the valve holder thingy inbetween the over under structure is not goin anywhere any time soon, am i missing something here or is my valve screwed?

uhmm..to get the valve out, you need to really push on it with something like the eraser part forward of a pencil. It won't just slide out when you take out the screw.

ok...you are just pushing the valve body out....NOT THE STOP PIN!!!...the pin stays right there...no need to take it out...(anyway that pin gets tapped out on the side if you wanted to take it out...)
Place the eraser on the valve body and push...NOT ON THE PIN...
