If you want a single barrel your best bet would be a CP 2-Piece or an Ultralite.

Ultralite is better, and cheaper.

Hey guys we should make a forum just for barrels & hey maybe they can get caleb & jaster to moderate it we can call it the  "Barrel & paint forum" man that would be soooo cool

I think AR55 was trying to give you a hint by saying go check the barrel and paint forum because it deals strictly with BARRELS and paint....you could probably get a better answer in a shorter amount of time there....

^ Exactly.

I agree about the CP though. Dyes are nice barrels, but WAY too expensive. My CP will probly be the last barrel I ever buy. It is as good as my friend's boomstick, and weighs around the same amount as an UL. And costs less than half as much. I used to think that you get what you pay for when it comes to barrels, but this barrel proved me wrong instantly. If you don't need a whole kit, get the CP 1-piece. I think they are like $40.

If you think you might eventually need more bore sizes, get the CP 2-piece, they cost $54. You can buy more backs as you need them. They cost $27.50 apiece at www.criticalpaintball.com
Also, www.shootpaint.com has a very good selection of CP barrels.

Plus, any length and color you want, and dust or polished finish.

if you get a cp for 50 + backs for 25, you might as well buy a used kit from someone. you can get a used freak system for 100 or an evil pipe for a little less.

Yeah you could. But Freaks really aren't as good as CP's. They arent bad, I'm not one of those ppl who just goes around saying "Freaks suck!" My bro got one used from a friend for really cheap, and it shoots pretty well, but it is no better than my CP. I would rather have a 3-bore CP kit for $108 than a used Freak kit that is not quite as good in the first place, and has like 4 damaged inserts.

As for the Pipe, yeah you could. But CP kits cost about the same amount as the Pipe. Look at the CP kit with 5 backs. Costs like $180 new, almost the same price as a new Pipe. So you could also buy a used CP kit or a used Pipe for about the same price.

I dunno, maybe you might like the Freak because it is SP and would match your SP gun or something. But there are other barrel kits out there worth looking at.

Anyway, I was just saying if he is not sure if he will eventually need more bore sizes or not, he can get a CP 2-piece and buy more backs later. So he could spend more money later depending on what he needs, but he doesn't have to. You can't do that with a Pipe. It would cost alot more to do that with a Freak. The CP is as good of a barrel, and buying one is cheaper and gives him more options than the Freak or Pipe would.
