The connection between the steel hose and the valve on my tippmann isn't leaking but when i fire air rushes out from the valve causing my RT trigger to function incorrectly. I have tried a combination of teflon tape and locktite but still the problem persists. Anyone know any other stronger methods i could use to seal this leaky valve?

---THANKS!:)

Is it leaking out of the front of the valve? the back? the rt tube connection?

it leaks where steel tubing screws into the valve

you could use teflon tape or loctite maybe

Check the threads on the steel hose. Also, only use loctite or teflon, not both at the same time.

You might need a new valve.

I use teflon tape only and never had any probs. Its faster, easier, and you dont have to wait for it to dry like you do w/ loctite.

maybe you arent wrapping it enough, or your powertube could be cracked. check and see. I doubt it but its possible.

i wrapped it too much once and when i gassed it up, the extra teflon tape was blown out and i was left with a ugly looking seal :P but hey it works :P

Dunno if anyone else has noticed, but i personally found teflon makes it easier to screw new stuff in (VAs) cuz its smooth when it covers the gritty threads. I could easily screw my VA in with teflon with my arms

its easy w/ loctite too.

I use loctite personally.

what i dont like bout locktite tho is that it is like a glue and hardens. Teflon tape still lets you unscrew the threaded object .

Blue loctite doesn't get very hard at all and works just as good as teflon tape. Its the red loctite thats the devil......*shudders* I have had bad experiences with red loctite...

each serve pupose, blue loctite for my palmer reg and gauge, tefleon tape for my tombston threads, and red loctite for the leaky gauge on my 4500 nitro tank (better safe than sorry)
