well, the last thread on barrel oil was closed. so instead of having another whole useless thread of argueing and stuff, im just doin a poll. try it, put a few drops of cheap oil down ur barrel and sqeegee it out. I can tell it helps because the balls curve less and there are fewer breaks.

How could that help? It almost be like shooting with paint in your barrel.

It's stupid to oil your barrel, might as well make your gun chop and then shoot with paint in it.

The only time you would want to oil a barrel is after you play, I guess it could be classified as a cleaner but not really it just slows down rusting & cracks I guess.

There's a reason they don't sell "barrel oil". But maybe they should start now that people would be dumb enough to buy it.

unless your barrel is incredibly awefully made.. like with a lining of vinyl there's no way oil could help

A message to anyone who oils their barrel: If you ever mix oil and barrel again, I will mix your skull with a frying pan. That idea is even worse than the venturi bolt.
Im sorry but Im just amazed that nobody has found the reason that the old barrel oil thread got closed.

I think you just squeegeed your barrel clean, and that made it shoot straight. I don't think the oil did anything.

Don't take things to heart on these forums .....do what you feel comfortable and works best for you (not like you live with anybody on these forums). Although I have to say that you might want to listen to some of these guys. They have been playing for a long time and I'm sure that some have tried many different things out, although they would never admit to it. ;)

you do know that oiling a cocker's Slider frame will help the trigger plate slide faster, right?

... you missed the joke. I didn't say trigger frame. I said trigger. As in the part you touch.
Wow the fact that you made me explain this just ruinned my own joke for me. Thanks.

......<sigh>......
again, i bet you people havent tried it. it DOES work for me, and it might not work for you people's setups, but it works for mine. From my experience, it works better than just warm water. i give up though. you people would never beleive me. we need a moderator to close this useless thread. and why does it even matter anyways? its just a small little thing that may or may not slightly help your gun.
.....< loud sighing>......

you actually do oil the trigger, where it goes into the frame,
but whatever, it's not like your joke was funny anyway.

Maybe the bore size of the paintballs you use is bigger then the bore size of your barrel? Try borrowing a CP one piece in bore size .689 or .693. Use a .687-.690 paint and run a squeege through the barrel without oil. Make sure you do this in the direction the ball travels. Then try it with oil and tell me that you have any increase in accuracy.
