View Full Version : Bad air efficiency

Yesterday when I started my PE 68 3k was at about 2800psi. After one hopper from my revvy, and 2 100 round pods. I was down to 600-700psi. I figure max I shot maybe 400 balls (probably more like 300-350). I know the math of 68x10=680 shots (roughly) per that tank. It just seems really inefficient yesterday. (This was all one one field, 2 games). Only thing I can come up with it, with all the running, sliding, blah the tank came unscrewed just a hair and leaked some air. Any ideas? Temp was in the high 70's-mid 80's.

I adjusted my dwell to 20 and saw no dropoff/shootdown like I posted about earlier last week. So :) day!

Thanks Master_Chadwick

Your problem doesn't seem to make sense, as you have very efficient internals from what I am looking at. I have no experience with LPRs, but from what I gather they automatically give you good efficiency, but are not adjustable like an LPR...

YES, it is possible your tank came a little loose, however, to leak, you have to really unscrew the tank, not just a little movement. Also, when pressurized, your tank isn't moving anywhere, so I would go ahead and count that out as a cause.

Only thing I would consider is making sure everything is cleaned and lubed, and make sure your Max-Flo is clean. Then after this re-adjust your dwell and HPR and see if you can get good efficiency again with no shootdown.

yes, this is probably what is wrong with your guns, when you relube and clean the ram, also take the ram cap off and clean that out. check all the seals to make sure none are worn and them just double check everything again-including your inline reg. then go to the chrono and readjust your input to 150psi and then adjust your dwell till your gun shoots 280fps.
