I recently bought my tippmann custom 98 and the paintballs are curving on every shot, not just every now and then. Whats goin on?

if you have a chrono, make sure your velocity is less then 280 or so

right around there is good

have excessivly oiled your front bolt? that could be a prob

dont use bad paint(ie brass eagle)

and finally, your stock barrel isnt that accurate..

Also check your paint to barrel match, If you can blow the balls out of the barrel with your mouth then they are a pretty good match. If the balls roll out the barrel without blowing or can't be blown out of the barrel then that could be part of the problem. M98 barrels are notoriously bad, but If you don't have the money to upgrade your barrel right now then you can polish the inside of your barrel. I polished mine when I first got my gun and It dramatically increased the accuracy. But you won't know the true potential of that gun until you upgrade the barrel. There are several descent barrels out there that you can purchase for under or around 50 dollars. The ones I have personally shot on an M98 are the JJ ceramic and the Dye Excel. I personally prefer the Excel because you can shoot cheap paint out of it. 32 degree Competion, Team Colors, and even Brand X shoots well out of the Excel. The JJ ceramic is a slightly smaller bore barrel but several of my friends shoot big balls out of them with pretty good accuracy.

it's most likley your paint match. and if your shooting old paint? don't use it in competition anymore.
