I really have no idea about this and it may seem like a dumb question but, here it goes. When you refill your c02 tank does all the c02 need to be out of it before you fill it???

yes, but the filler can bleed the tank before filling. otherwise no new co2 can get in.

It doesn't matter if you empty it out. When I fill my tanks, (if empty) I like to put some co2 in and then bleed it out. It cools the tank so that I can get a proper fill. I know what my tanks weight empty so know what i need to fill them up to. So I wouldn't dry fire my gun until you empty out your co2. not worth the wear and tear.

it's actually easier for them to fill it if there's still a bit left in the tank.. this way they don't have to use their own co2 to chill your tank (which saves them co2)
