recently i have seen A LOT of nasty nasty posts that arn't just unnessisary, but they are also unacceptable. everyone, except master_chadwick (who is always "cool") need to relax and just cool down. we don't want to create a community of people arguing over really, "waste of time," immature issues; rather we want to create a welcoming, encouraging friendly community that will help any one who wants help or support, not matter what thier problem/problems or questions are. when i first started posting here almost a year ago this place was great; nothing but positive posts. back then i never saw a nasty post, and every one was good to one another-there was, in other words, none of this BS arguing i am seeing now. do we want people with question posting here and reading us agruing about total un-important immature issues? NO! we want people to come HERE, to the impulse forum for help. now, we all just need to relax, not take things to literally-unless it is directly related to a question some one asked about impulses (for instance, agrueing over wether the WAS board is infact named the WAS board or if it is really called the "Wicked Air Sportz Board").

here is what i, and undoubtably many others, are asking of everyone in this forum:

1) Be Supportive
2) Be Helpful
3) Be Good Natured
4) Above All, Be Mature

can we all do that and get everything back to the friendly, helpful, and supportive enviroment we had last year? i think we can; no one needs to change, we all just need to think about what we are posting before we post it. thank you.

Any mod would do, even if they didn't own an Impulse.

Well Caleb's gone for July, or so I heard and Wolvy and KillerKat died I think. Who knows, I just wish we had a mod who knew a lot about Impulses and was online a lot.

So in other words, I nominate toothpastedog. ;)

?, pbnation only give people more help than pbreview because I am bussy working on my own, completely origenal and unique, top secret, super fast (litterally 40bps+, but i am not officially saying that till it comes out), super low pressure solenoid opperation gun designs (yes, there are three, one that is closed and open bolt (sounds wierd, but first shot is open bolt, then the second on is close, and so on) and the other ones are open bolt). i'll back asap though, i miss posting here.

thanks for all the mod nomination. although it would kick as* to be a mod, i don't really want to be one because i would have to constantly check on everything (not that i already do ;)). if i could be like a mod just for the impulse forum, hey, i would be so damn happy to do that.

one more thing about a new mod though, if we got a new one, he or she would have to be a little spam tolerent, i do like to spam one and a while :P   (Ken448, i try not to think about that post... ;))

Doesn't seem like being a mod in the imp forum would be to bad.....well at least if the arguing stops. Personally i like answering questions that may have been easilly answered by the FAQ or Sticky. i say just help them out and politely remind them to check the FAQ and Sticky afterwards. works like a charm:D
but there is know doubt that the angry posts need to stop then the imp forum will turn into some of the other forums on pbreview.com and like pretty much all of pbnation, at least thats my expierence with that site....so much flaming it makes me sick seems like every other post there is some sort of *** bashing. we can't let this forum become that, ever....

yeh, here is some advice for new people to this forum, if not everyone in general: help and answered anyone and everyone's paintball related question; here is an extreme: i am jewish (not orthedox or anything, i've only been to temple like 4 times in my life) and if a nazi asked me for help with his impulse, even if i knew who he was i would help him out. that is just what people here need to do; they need tp just, well, stop the imature bs'ing and start helping people. oh well, it seems like people here have the right atitude, so keep up the good work.

to ken: yeh, i would hate being a mod, but if i was asked to be a mod just for the impulse forum who didn't have to do anything else anywhere else, that would be great-i mean, that was pretty much what i was doing before the summer.

i admit im one of the ones who can be immature sometimes but things tend to get annoying...

anyways the thing i dont like is when you try to help someone and then the next person comes along and says that your solution is stupid. i dont know a lot about imps but i know a few things and it makes me mad when people flame because a solution to a problem wasnt correct or if there was a better alternative since almost all of us are still learning about them anyways.i guess what im tryin to say is even if someone gives the wrong solution to a problem dont be rude about it just let them know in a nice way what the correct one would be.

just my 2 cents

On all fourms we see the same thing happen often.

Person A asks an question.

out of the several answers, one is helpful

Person B asks a simular question and person A wants to be helpful (and "involved") so he gives the same answer that he got the week before.

Unfourtanly the it is not exactly the same issue, so while person A is tring to be helpful, his "answer" is not correct.

THen the problems start.

six other people who what to show off their overwelming knowlege on the supject jump all over person A.

And soon the thread looses its purpose.

So a little like sated above-- just don't make personal coments. If you see person A's answer- be a bit more tactful in YOUR replay.

I personaly dis like self apointed mods. If you want to suggest someone use the search feature, why not do so in a PM? The plain fact of fourm posts is that once it's off the front page, its out of sight and out of mind. If no one replys PUBLICY to a stupid post, it will soon be gone (at least from sight). If you consently reply to objectional posts- they stay at the top.

So if you hate to see XvsY posts- just don't reply to them!

(now can someone help me down off this soap box...)
