Ive heard good things about this barrel. How does it match up with the 98c?

Most people seem to prefer the aluminum($40). I don't think the xcel is theat great myself.

I love my Excel for simple reason, It shoots cheap paint accurately. If your planning on shooting smaller bore paint like marbs or el tigre then this probably isnt the barrel your looking for, but if your looking for a barrel that loves cheap paint Id definatly recommend the Excel. 32 degree Competition, Team Colors, and Brand X all shoot extremely well out of the the Excel. Big balls work pretty good out of the barrel too. I actually have two excels, 1 for my m98 which I've used for the past 1 1/2 year with great success and I just ordered one for my minimag as a second barrel since the barrel I currently have is so small bore that it won't shoot the crappy balls the fields around here use for field paint. You can also find dye aluminum barrel on sale on the web for around 40 dollars, These are also great barrels, but they are a slightly smaller bore size so are more selective on what paint you can shoot out of them.

I have tried to use an Excel on my 98 before. The barrel was trash. Simply put. I tried all sorts of paint that fit the bore perfectly and accuracy was still a problem. Since then I have tried Ultralites, AA, Stealth, and now I have stuck with my bigshot for about 6 months. It is a awesome performer. If you are tight on money the 32 degrees Terminator is actually a quality barrel. I have one that I use just in case I need it. Almost as accurate as a bigshot, however it is more paint picky.
