They're pretty much football cleats, that say "made for paintball" on the box. However, football cleats are great, making diggers great
i go backpacking a lot and have a nice broken in pair of 200 dollar hiking boots i play in...with gortex and waterproofing and the whole nine yards...i don't play football though so i don't have any cleats...are they still worth 60 bucks? the boots i play with are compfortable but i wouldn't mind a little more traction. the boots i use now give above average traction though...what should i do???
A damn fool

No. Becaue the metal digs in so hard to the ground, and paintball involves suddenly changing directions, you can twist an ankle or tear some ligaments, which is bad. I play baseball myself, and you generally dont get surprised enough to have to switch directions running full tilt. That, and no sup'air field will allow you to use metal cleats because of the potential to slide into a bunker and destroy it, and most fields would not allow you to wear metal spikes because of the chance of stepping on someone during a bunkering move. Metal cleats are just a very very bad idea. If you want absolutely the best grip, while having ankle support (so very very important), footbal cleats or diggers would be great. If you find you get good enough grip with your hiking boots though, there is no need to upgrade, unless you really want that extra edge
