Wicked Air Sportz has been working around the clock to develop several new products for the paintball industry. These products include a new hopper, and an infrared communications link for electronics used in paintball.
Wicked Air Sportz has filed for several patents for technology being used in a hopper it is developing called the CorkScrew(sm). This hopper has the unique ability to be converted (in minutes) from a top mount style hopper to a side mount, similar to a WarpFeed but not requiring the extra hopper. This hopper is a force feed type that uses current detection and a clutch mechanism to prevent breaking paint in the hopper when feeding. The feed rate is computer controlled, using the same artificial intelligence technology that has made the TurboRev a world-wide success. The feed rate will greatly exceed what even the latest modern markers are capable of shooting. The CorkScrew(sm) is completely programmable via the WickedLink(sm), using the infrared port on any type of PC. Estimated retail will be $99.95.
Pretty cool, and considering how well the turborev has worked out for them, I think they'll have another hit with this one as well. Which is good, because I've got some misgivings about the HALO personally
