I was shooting my rebel bottomline today and about every 20 shots or so it would double-fire and go boom boom. It was a little cold out, but I'm not sure if the temp. would make a difference. On top of that, when I unscrewed the co2 tank, it went like crazy and co2 shot out EVERYWHERE! It lasted about 5 seconds before I could get it completely out!

Any suggestions? Please tell me about this (temp. and unscrewing)

if it's double firing, firing two balls at once, it could mean that your ball detent is bad (I had the same problem with my Piranha).

if it's firing twice (cycling the bolt twice) then it could be a faulty O-ring or possibly the sear is not catching the bolt due to wear.

On the CO2: you shouldn't try to completely remove the tank from the adaptor. unscrew it until you hear the gas leaking. The gas isn't leaking from the tank, but from the gun (it's whatever is left in the gun from the last shot) once that leaks out, then take the tank off.

hope that helps.

P.S. Cold weather can play havoc on CO2. the colder the temp, the less likely the CO2 will convert to a gas.

Well, the gun is brand new (only about 300 shots through it). I haven't done anything to it or taken it apart. I have kept it oiled. Any other suggestions?

i don't believe it the same thing happened to my rebel deluxe today except my pull rod strut broke and i couldn't cock the gun cause it was like a 40 pound pull and it broke after 10 shots. i'm probably gonna get a new pull rod strut. also the sear wears out after about 2000 shots which would suck if your in a tournament because you'd have to change it between games. but i've heard that some company sells grip frames that fit rebels and the sears dont wear down for a long time:)

today was a bad day fo paintball i think.... my friends tippmann 98 with dye xcell barrel was breakin paint evry 2 shots... my rebel LE was leaking , but it stopped thank god... oo i got shot in the mouth... paintball is fun but it doesnt taste good. my friends rebel LE got jammed and wouldnt cock... my other friends model 98 wasnt shooting right or something i duno what thehell was wrong with him. and we were all shootin snow...

*to jaredu*, when u remove your tank, take off your hopper so you have no balls in it, and fire the gun repeatedly as you take it off... this will allow any air that is leftin the expnsion chamber to get out.

if your friends rebel le doesn't cock he either has a broken shell in it or the pull rod strut is broken. if its paint run some hot water through the bolt and it will melt the shell and if the pull rod strut is broken you might wanna call the company and tell them to replace it.:dunce:  :pissed:

My friend and his cousin both have rebel bottomlines and both of thier guns have had the same problems. Everytime we go my friends rebel will always act up, either by sputtering, chopping paint, not recocking, and jamming. my other friends spyder compact (almost identical to the rebel) will do the same thing. After we play they take them into the shop and they work fine there, but everytime we go to play, my freinds rebel will act up.

Problem solved: PUT SOCKS OVER THE TANK! I figured out that the tank got really cold so I keep it warm and it works great! I'm playing next week so I'll post again.
