Barrel Paint match question

what makes the best paint to barrel match. How do you tell. Is a closer fit generally better? Thanks for your time.

Unless you have a closed bolt gun, just stick with a big bore size like a .693

Depends...SP touts their Freak to be well honed...

Many people profess that paint-to-bore match don't matter...

I fail to see any reasonable logic on why it wouldn't

No. There's porting there so velocity will be 20 and efficiency will be 0.

.692+ unless you're closed bolt. In which case it really doesn't even matter that much unless you're playing tourneys... is that one ball that rolled out gonna make a difference in your life? Doubt it, but if might leave you out of the game..

With my .689 CP barrel, I use Zap Spank and I have never once broken a ball in the barrel. Im dead serious, I have never broken one in the barrel with Zap Spank. Its a pretty close bore size and only 40 bucks shipped. So im pretty happy.

funny thing is , they're some of teh worst honed barrels out there, and the inserts are a complete joke.

.696 is stupid, .693 is the most ideal. It will shoot the most accurately. I use a .693 CP 1 Piece and it's great. It's a $45 barrel and it shoots just as nice as a CP 2 Piece or other barrels. Btw, Freaks are crap.
