hey everyone, this is my first time posting so i hope i get a big turn out. well anyways right now im shooting a system x vengeance 2.0 right now. its a great gun dont get me wrong, but its just not fast, and im not interseted in purchasing an e blade. so i was wondering. do you think i should sell the cocker and get a bko? if i did this i would probably get money in return if i traded with someone which would give me enough money to buy an egg or halo. i was just wondering what you guys would think.
thanx a lot

welcome to our side of the forums: since most if not all cockers are pretty much the same this (http://www.pbreview.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=201302) thread should help you get started in opinions. If you have any other questions feel free to ask away. My personal opinion try and get a bko if speed is what you really want. I have a b2k a bko and a cocker right now the 2 icd markers arent even a thought if i should keep them or not, im entertaining offers though on the cocker.

have you ever owned a WGP cocker? system x cockers are probably the worst cockers made...no offence...they are not made very well....I'd say sell it and get a bko....

Yeah my bro says the same thing about system x cockers. He has I think a 2001 or 2002 WGP cocker, but now it doesnt have a stock part on it. Completely custom. So he knows some crap about cockers, and according to him system X cockers really arent that good, no offense. I dont have any first-hand experience with them though, so anyone can feel free to prove me wrong.
Anyway, go for the BKO. It'll be well worth it if you get some money thrown in too, to go toward a fast hopper. You'll need an Egg or Halo.
With a WGP cocker, I would say take the $330 that a BKO costs and just eblade your cocker. That way you will have eyes (although cockers are still bigger and heavier than BKO's). But on a System X cocker I'm not sure. It'd probly be better to get a BKO.

Tell her that your new gun will make you happier, and its a more worth while investment down the road. And even if your not, tell her you will save money in the long run.

How much did you buy the System X for? Also, did you buy it new?
If you can get a deal for the System X where you will get enough money to buy a BKO plus have some cash on the side, then your mom might not mind. Or, you could sell your cocker, buy a BKO, and not tell her about it (you would need to do this without using her credit card, so rule out buying the BKO online). I know my dad probly wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a cocker and a BKO unless he saw them side-by-side.
Or, have you seen "The Apprentice"? Just tell your mom that you are practicing to become an entrepreneur.

If you can sell the system x for a decent price and buy the xtreme and not put any more money into it isnt that the same as keeping the xtreme? I can understand her concern with blowing more and more money on paintball (we all do it) and she is right to be concerned as I know of many people that have gotten into trouble this way, but as long as you can work out either a trade straight up for the bko or sell the cocker for the price of a bko she may be a bit more understanding. Your best bet see where she is comming from first and understand what she is getting at then approach her with reason, the more maturity you show the more likely she will end up listening to your side as well.

Now Yoda, that's not fair! I'll say that System X certainly do not make the best markers on this planet, but if enough ups such as a nice bolt, nice inline and barrel are put into his 'cocker, he'd have no need for a BKO. I was debating between a BKO and I believe a Odyssey 03m (I'm not buying it for another year, haha. I do things in advance. ;)) and I chose the BKO because it offered more out of the box, even though the O3 was competent in it's own right. And that System X with a raceframe or Worrblade will satisfy any need. Again, if you have no work in the System X already, I'd personally sell it for what you can and bring a new BKO home.

Art Dude, Art, one would have to upgrade everything on a System X Autococker to make it worth while. System X just doesn't make very good quality products.
Face it, cocker/focker resale sucks...and System X is the low man on the totem pole. No offense, but even if your SysX is macked out and shoots flawless, they've got such a bad rep in the cocker community that it'll be a tough sell to anyone other then a newbie.
Because it's a SysX, I wouldn't eblade it either. I'd cut my losses and not invest anymore into it. Id just keep it as a mech and use it as a backup. Personally, I'd just try to save up some $$$ and get the BKO.
And no, I don't own anything ICD due to www.shootpaint.com's enormous suckatude. But that's another thread altogether.

Everything, you say?...
A guy at the field near me bought a System X Xonik (electric focker) with the sole intention of making so good that nobody would ever complain about its fockerness again. He dropped about 350 IIRC on Freeflow parts, and now...well, let me tell you, it is now one of the nicest cockers I've ever seen. The System X milling has always been nice IMO, but the internals were crap...just goes to show that they can be good...but only with lots of extra FF junk.
But, that's kinda OT; if you can convince her, drop the focker and pick up a BKO, even a used one--those go for under 250 quite often.
lol, suckatude...

I just think it is a waste to buy a System X Autococker and then have to buy parts to replace crappy stock parts when you could get a WGP Autococker and have very good/decent stock parts to start with.

Yeah, I don't know why the guy didn't take all that $1100 or so he spent proving his point and just buy a Karni...:eyes: but I'm pretty sure he gave it to his wife or something...either he wipes with 20s, or he really, really wanted to prove that fockers could be good.
But he's a cool guy, I won't rag on him any more.
OT, while I'm here: Are ANS "automatic cocking markers" technically fockers? Anyone know? Thx

Well anyway, as for the Autcocker question...straight from the WGP Forum's FAQ:

Sys X released a cheaper Xonik. The Xonix is their Vengeance Pro 2.0 or whatever, their highest mech. with their raceframe. They released a 500 dollar one which has a cheaper e-frame, with the base mech cocker. The internals on the latter are probably cheap as hell and while both shoot out mech. cockers, the base e-frame probably needs just a bit attention
repair to keep in working shape. On another note, the PGI Firestorm is a superb non-eclipse racegun. I've seen videos. It has the goods: speed, and accuracy like w0ah. And it's fairly cheap, if you don't need the speed or consistency of the Osiris. Osiris=right around 30bps. Seen vidoes of that, too.
