What do you mean by "right kind of shot"?

adjust the barrel adaptor clockwise(while looking from the back end of the marker)to adjust the shot to the right, reverse to move it to the left.

do that, make sure you have a small bore paint and shoot around 265ish.

Ive also heard that bigger or smaller bore paintballs can work for the flatline....:eyes:

smaller bore barrels are the best. they allow for a backspin to be put on the ball before exiting.

you can tilt the barrel sideways to shoot around bunkers etc...

Have you ever done that or have you just heard that?

So bigger bore paintballs would be the same as having a smaller bore barrels...

yeap tried it on my friends a-5 flatline... its not like some miracle ... it doesnt curve 90* magically and hit your opponent behind it... but you can curve em around them.

So bigger bore paintballs would be the same as having a smaller bore barrels...

no comprendo?

If a you have a smaller bore barrel it would have backspin?

But if you had a normal barrel, you could use a larger paintball bore and it would be the same...maybe :|

well, the flatline barrel itself is curved, thats why you want small bored paint so it can achieve a better spin than a large bore barrel.

you think that if you use a large bore paint in a regular barrel you would get backspin? Sorry to burst your bubble....but no.

I think you got confused. Use a small bore paint with a flatline for best results. As for your comment about large paint with normal (whatever that is) barrel sizes, it won't work too well. If your paint bore size is too much larger than your barrel bore size, you'll have problems with breaks. Kinda like trying to squeeze a water balloon through a pipe a few inches shorter in diameter than the diameter of the balloon. There would be a lot of friction on the sides, which at high velocities could cause breaks in the barrel or, at the very least, accuracy problems.

As for adjusting your flatline shot, I don't know what to tell you other than to get some paint and play with the velocity until it's shooting like you want it to. If you have an A-5, turning the barrel left or right won't be a factor, because the flatlines on A-5's lock into place. It would be good if you have access to a chrono when you're adjusting your flatline as well, that way when you get to a velocity that you're comfortable with, you could check the chrono for the fps reading and remember it for that type of paint, so when you go to play all you should have to do is adjust your marker to that fps and be ready to go.
