Ok, I bought a basic rebel about two weeks ago and I added a bottomline to it. Well I've been through about 1500 shots and then last night when I was playing, all the sudden my gun started messing up. The CO2 was contiuosly leaking out of the barrel. I came off the field and checked all the o-ring that I could get to easily(I have just recently gotten into paintballing and I'm terrified of taking apart too much of my gun for fear that I won't be able to reassmble it) and checked them and all were fine, I reattached the tank and it was still doing this. Judging from other posts on this site I think it may be the sear. There's only one problem, what is the sear and exactly how do I get it to find out? Can someone please help me out?

If it was leaking out the barrel, it might be the cup seal is worn out. I don't think it would be the sear, because if the sear is worn down, the gun would go boom boom. The cup seal is in the part of the rebel where you screw in the low pressure chamber. I think there is a screw underneath it (not the trigger frame one, but the one to the side of it). The sear is located in the trigger frame if you want to check it out. Just unscrew the 2 screws in the trigger frame and pull it down. You can then see the metal part that is about 2 or 3 inches long (estimate) and is slanted at an angle going down from the left...

If you need more help, please reply

Ok, I think it's the cup seal then, I took the low pressure chamber out( the screw underneath it), and I took out the spring but I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. Could you help me out hear.
P.S. I found out it's not the sear.

If I am not mistaken, the cup seal is the little plastic piece like this picture

They say it is not sealing all the way so you might have to buy a new one.

Ok, where would I find that? Should it be on the metal piece that's connected to the spring or should it be behind that and if it's behind that how do I get to it?

if you have a flat cup seal on your rebel, i've heard you can flip them around (because it is symetric) and it will form a good seal for approximately the same amount of time the other one lasted.

at least it worked for me:D

also you can buy a brand new 'unbreakable' cup seal for about 5 bucks:)

hope this helps i'll be in touch

I THINK, but if I'm wrong someone correct me but the cup seal is on the metal piece connected to the spring. Right where the valve stem (metal piece) comes out of that little hole. Try that.

Replacing it is not a prob, I have the money,I just need to find it first. Should it be behind the spring?

Yes, it should be on the other side the spring is on.

If yer looking at takinga part your gun they come with the little detailed guides thats shows how to take apart your gun and put it back together and it also shows all the parts. I think it sounds like a Cup Seal problem(I've heard it before) but It's never happened to me before...Good Luck:D
