OKay...my cousin is gunna get a pimp kit in dec. as a XMAS/BDAY present from his parents. But the only problem that hes gunna run into is that he cant get a hpa tank to go with it. But he wants to knoe if he should get a anti-syphon co2 tank? And how will that run on a pimp. And later on when he gets a pimp what should he do for the hpa to work? Does he have to change the o-rings or on due to the anti syphon

he should buy/have installed an anti-syphon kit on his co2 tank, and he should also buy an impulse seal kit from sp. when he eventually gets hpa, as long as he doesn't switch from co2 to hpa in the same day, he shouldn't need to do anything.

CO2 will only safely work on an imp if the tank has a properly installed anti-syphon. He might also want an on off valve, though it is not needed, it would help some gassing/degassing problems. CO2 runs fine on imps. Not as well as HPA because of shootdown and consistancy, but its fine to use.

When he gets HPA, he will need to not use his imp for a day or two, so he doesnt warp the o rings. If he switches from co2 to hpa the same day, his o rings will be warped, so just when switching, from co2 to hpa, tell him to make sure the imp has a day or 2 for the o rings to settle down before using hpa.

1. They can install an anti syphon on his current tank if he wants them to.

2. Yes it should

you might run into one problem. one reason that the impulse can run on co2 so well is because the max flo just happenes to work well with co2. some regs were designed this way like the palmer stabilizer, and sometimes ppl find out by coincidence, like hte maxflo. the pimp does not have a max flo, it has a detonator reg. i do not have very much experience, so i do not know if the detonator is good with co2. do some research. i however used to use co2 on my impy. after useing HPa there is a world of difference. with a gun as fast as an impy or pimp, there will be SIGNIFIGANT shootdown, aka your velocity will drop drastically depending on how fast you shoot. and you are dependant on the weather. in the cold, co2 doesn not give as much pressure. one day i was playing in the cold and the tank could barely provide a fast flow of gas. i ripped a fast sting of shots and my pressure on my gun got so low that the last few shots only went about 15 feet. the gun will also not be as acurate because your velocity will not be as consistant. co2 is also very dirty, and the matience will quadruple. seals will also go bad faster, cuase potential problems. my advice is that your cousin should get his priorities in order. before he gets a gun as cherry as the pimp, he should get nitro, and a fast laoder, good gogles, etc.

Well...hey has a timmy on angel air...and he doesnt plan on selling it...so he might just run with it on co2 for a month or so...plus he has like 2 revys, 1 evo, and 2 empire reloaders.

seriously, i wouldnt touch evil parts considering all the bad ive heard about them. i say new designz, very good quality and many people use the parts. as for evil, very few people that use them actually have good expieriences. im not saying that he has to get a different brand, im just saying he should do some research and go to impulse owners group and ask all of those guys, im a frequent flyer to those froums and not many seem to like evil parts, why? ask them. i just know that i have seen new designz parts on impulses and they work wonders with efficientcy and FSDO.

With all the money he gets for christmas from his relatieves he should have enough money to get hpa. Dude i would seriously not run such an expensive gun on some crappy co2 tank. Get a 67 dollar aluminum aci bulldog tank from paintballgear.com
