alright i know for sure i am getting a new reg but not sure which one i was gonna get the rock but i wastalkin to this guy who had one and he still has velocity inconsistencies as before although not as bad (he was running off n2) i was kinda lookin to correct the problem of the inconcistencies in the velocity and am thinkin about a kapp maybe or a rock but am more leaning toward the kapp kus i have seen some good performance out of it unlike the rock so let me know your opinions on different regs and which one would be the best choice

Well from what I have read, it seems to me that you are going to replace the pneumatic regulator. This has nothing to do with the velocity of the gun. These regs are for the recocking of the gun. The regs you should be looking for are the inline regulators like the gen x, vigalante, Stabalizer, and so one. They are the ones that would effect the velocity. I would recomend the stabalizer by Palmers. It is a great reg.
As for the rock regs, they are great parts. Where did you hear about them being not as good as the Kapp regs. Palmers makes quality parts and they are great. But as I said before, the inline reg is the one you want to replace to get rid of velocity inconsistancies not the pneumatic reg. Also check your velocity screw, is it in far in to the gun? that could give you irratic velocity readings if it is in too far.

not only have i read about the incocncistencys but i have seen them in more than one case including mine. and its not necesarily that the kapp are better it was more of me asking if any of you have tried both and have a preferance and or which you like better and also i have seen a kapp perform and it did seem to do well. and yes i have heard about cases where the person replaced the frony reg and the inconcistencies were greatly reduced and yes i know that the inline doese help the velocity also but i have heard of many cases where the stock inline was kept on and a new front reg was put on and problem with inconcistencies was solved or greatly reduced. but it is winter here in michigand and when i had and seen many of the cases it was one of the coldest days and that could have something to do with it but i have heard of the problem in the warm areas. oh and the front regs step down the guns pressure and if it doese a bad job then obviosly you will have some inconcistencies. and no the screw is not in too far.

Both the KAPP and Rock regs are great regs. You will get about the same performance out of both. I feel the rock has little more consistancy than the KAPP. I also like that bleed out valve on the rock which no other reg has on the market. I really love that feature.

yeah now after i have seen different regs i think i am probably going to go with the rock. the guy who i seen with a rock who still had problems didnt really know what he was doing and probably had some other problem because most rocks i have seen perform well.
