I am tired of my inherited 98 Custom. I need something better but I'm on a tight budget; the Spyder Imagine 04 or Dragunfly Mech ???

Those are both 2 completely different guns. Save your money and buy a BKO or Vert Cocker. You could find a used mag reallll cheap.

I had a 98 custom to and i sold it to my friend and bought a eforce ext pro pirranha for only $50+100 that my friend gave me for my 98. Its a good gun but the older version had some problems with the regulator but i think they fixed that now and pmi tech support is good if you do have any problem. just go with a cheap electric like http://www.paintballfanatics.com/product-exec/product_id/2216 and u cant go wrong and it will be a huge change.

I have a Piranha EXT and my reg did break but PMI sent me the new version no questions asked. I would get a TES, or If you have the money and N2 BKO. My EXT is a good gun but I would rather have the TES my buddie has one and I am impresses. Draguns tech support isn't so good but if your like me and know what your doing who needs em. The up side of the TES would be the reg, eye, hammer, and trigger frame. The TES has only the semi auto setting but is easy to walk.

The only kinda worthy jump if you plan to stay with blowbacks would be a TES. Otherwise I'd save more and go straight for a used bushy, imp or angel.

You can also find some killer deals on used Mags if you look around for about the same price as a higher-priced blowback. If that isn't what you're looking for then you can always go with the $300 BKO, just as long as you've got HPA as well. If you're on a really tight budget, then go for the Imagine. But if you save up for a while and buy the BKO or Mag I'm sure you'd be more than satisfied; you'll eventually want to get rid of the Spyder seeing as that's a blowback like your Tippmann.

A mag is definatly a nice gun to get. it is much more consistant and accurate than a Higher-end Blow-Back. But if u like the e-trigger go for a Imagine or save for a cocker or bko.

Just go with the original imagine. It is the same thing as the 04, just different milling and a cheaper price tag.

Na, get the Imagine 04'. It is wicked, and you can easily find it for 125 dollars, it looks wicked, can go up to 14 bps on semi, and 9 bps on full auto and it also has burst mode. It is a great buy. I have had it since it came out, before the imagine I had an Evil Impulse Vision (899 dollars) but on the first day the Imagine 04' came out, my friend got it, and let me check it out, and I could not believe my hands! The accurace, the distance, it was weightless, if I closed my eyes (with his J & J Ceramic barrel, not stock) it felt like i was shooting my evil. I automatically sold my Evil for 800 (it was in great condition) and bought the 04' for 125, I just couldn't believe why people waste their money on expensive guns

How does a Pirahna eforce ext 2k4 sound with a on off switch drop forward and a xboard revolution hopper, plus a 12" boomstick???? I just ordered one, very good gun, any advice for some upgrades, Bolt? Trigger? Ultralite barrel? any other ideas that would improve the accuracy and lessen the kick of the gun???? pls help me out, Thanks!

An ultralight won't even make a noticeable improvement over the boomstick. The next upgrades I would get are a reg and hpa. Those will have the biggest impact on accuracy. If you want lower kick, a spring kit and a lighter hammer will help the most. An all delrin bolt will help a little.

nexster, that is the biggest load i have ever heard. why would you sell an electo pneumatic thats twice as fast and has half the kick of a blowback and buy a spyder? do you want the fun little modes or are you just retarted?
