View Full Version : BKO is screwed up!

Ok the wiring harness and original chip got messsed up and refused to work. So i got another stock chip for 10 bucks and eventually bought a vapor works wiring harness. Installed the wiring harness and put the chip on, LED did not come on when i put the chip and battery on. Tried my teamates chaos board and still did not work. Also the tray is messed up so it be helpful to get a new one. Wat should i do???

Do you mean the chip or the board? I thought 2003 BKO's came with the "new style" board?

Make sure the board is plugged in the right way. If it is plugged in upside-down it will not work. The right way to plug in your board:

1. Lay the gun down flat on a table. have the trigger frame facing toward you and the feedneck facing away from you. Have the barrel pointing to your left.
2. Plug in the board so that the side of the board with the components on it (circuits and stuff) is facing up.

This should make it work. If not:
1. The problem could be the battery. Put in a new one.
2. It could be the LED. Pull the trigger and see if you can hear the solenoid click. If you can, then the gun works fine and you have a burned out or broken LED. I think the Vapor harness comes with a new LED though, so I doubt this is the problem.
3. Check all your soldering and connections. Then double-check.

For the tray, call ICD. They have been known to give people new trays, although I don't know the price that they charge. Probly not too much $$$ though.

i put the board in both ways when i was workin on it. Well wouldn't the LED still come on if it wasnt hooked up to the noid.

well as soon as i got my new wiring harness and put it on the gun, tried my new board and it didnt' work then i tried my teamates and it still didn't work soooo it seems like pbtrader sold me a POS wiring harness
