Whats the differance? Besides the shocker is ugly and costs less.

Matrix isn't as heavy nor as wide nor as bulky.

Matrix is faster.

Ive shot the Excal and the Matrix, I dont see a differance but the price? Is it just a differnt "type" of the same basic principle gun?

For examply a Coke and Pepsi, goes under the catagory of a "cola" or "pop" but is there a legit reason to spent 500 more an a excalibur over the matix? (i dont think its worth 500 for better air effecency) What about a shocker? A shocker is huge but is there really a reason to spend so much more money on an excal vs the shocker? (we are talking performance and reliability, not size and weight)

im sorry for these stupid Gun vs Gun posts but the only differnace I see is personal preferance, size, weight and price.

ive shot shockers before and dont think there that big. If they are they make up for it with there rof. I dont know if i would play front with one but i dont think its that bad of a setup

shockers are heavier, and are a bigger gas hog. they also have to be timed, a matrix doesn't. the matrix is now an lcd, the shocker isn't. the shocker is also a bit bigger, and can come in a single trigger .45 frame, as the matrix doesn't (unless you order a tequilla matrix from aardvark custom paintball products)

actually the new shockers are not as heavy as they used to be. The biggest difference is the ROF, the matrix is just insane.

i dont really think the matrix can compare to the excal, excals are IMO some of the best markers on the market. low operating pressure and extremely consistent out of the box. pretty simple and very reliable. i have never really been into the matrix

Unfotunately, no ne can be told what the matrix is, they must see it for themselves.

another thing bout the matrix that I always forget to mention. inter-changeable breeches. gotta love that.

The two guns don't compare in performance in my book. I have owned both. While the new shockers are smaller than the old ones, the Matrix is still more compact. The Matrix's ROF is insane while the Shocker leaves something to be desired. The Matrix has interchangable breeches, bolt can be cleaned while gassed up, is probably quieter. hmmmmmmm. Is there anything else. It very well could be more accurate. If one desires, he can do more milling to a Matrix.

freak I'm not so sure if you can do more milling to a matrix, cuz really what you see on the shocktech, aardy, and image matrixes is about it for stock body, you mill too much and the body turns to crap. I haven't seen any pics of these new shockers, are there any in the smart parts form?

That link is the newer shocker. Maybe I was wrong about the milling thing. It doesn't really matter though as it isn't a functional issue.

not bad I suppose. hey no biggie, we all can be wrong about stuff from time to time. the source that told me the weakness of the body is coming directly from the guy who made it, so I'm going to believe that. there's alot of pballer's out there that care how much their guns looks, just as much as their game.

matrices and shockers have about the same overall performance.... with the exception that matrix is a helluva lot faster.... my marker is better than any of yours because my trigger is nicer... god I love my trigger.
I would not trade my trigger for anyother marker.

compared to my dad's impy with a blade.... my trigger is heaven. (I do my own trigger jobs, as well as at fields for most markers for a flat rate of $15... if you dont like it, your money back... so far I have had no complaints)
but my dad's impy shoots darts.... I can hit what I aim at first shot... thats what I like about it.... with the matrix, I really have to try... I dont know why.... snapshooting is better with his impy... for me at least...
damnit.

shockers are cool though... I owned one up until recently... sold it.
needed money for college.... matrix is suffecient.
(see which one I kept? must be something about it)
