what is the point of having a sight rail on your gun if you have a power feed or vertical feed? I wouldn't mind puting a red dot sight on my gun but it'll just get blocked with my power feed. the way I see it is that the sight rail is purely for looks. if there is another reason for them that I'm overlooking would someone please bring it to my attention. If anyone knows another place where you could mount a red dot sight please tell me.

thanx

What kind of site rail do you have. I have heard of people putting red dot sites on their raised site rails with powerfeeds with no problems. If you have a flat site rail then you need a raised one. If you have a VF you can still use a red dot site it is just a little harder. You have to mount it pushed forward against your VF then when you aim you keep both your eyes open and the red dot should appear on your target. It is tricky and takes some getting used to but it does work.

I think that you can mount a Red dot sight or any kind of site on a Stock xtra sight rail, which mounts on either side of the gun. It might fit on the piranha but im not really sure.

take the sight rail off, look at your gun and tell me how *** it looks, Lol.. there used to mount a number of things as well tho.. but no one really uses them.. laser sights have no use.. they suck
so do sights

hey. thanx for the replies. I actually just put a red dot sight on my piranha with the power feed and it doesn't get in the way at all. and I never thought of that Idea with the vertical feed using both eyes.

If you like the look of the sight rail try taking it off fliping it around and then putting it back on. it looks pretty cool backwards. plus it kinda sticks out a bit acting sortof like a bever tail. give it a try it looks good. and tell me what you think!

The beavertail sight rail has the ability to be put on backwards for anyone who wants to use a scope. Notice how there is a hole for you to put the screw in. Scopes need to be closer to the eye and noone wants to get hit by a bolt ;)

I believe its to protect your goggles from getting hit by bolt from recocking, its only on rear cocking guns.
