98 problems

98 problems.... i just got a 98, i had one a year or so ago and traded it. i know pretty well everyhting about them, i'm just haveing problems with the powertube now....

i recently found that one of the side screws that mount the tube has a stripped hole, does this require a new tube, i wasn't sure if it was leaking or not.

i took off the stock SBH to instal a macroline fitting, and it's been leaking like crazy (thread tape if your wondering)

so i took that off and tried to reinstall the factory hose, with the tape and it wouldn't go in all the way the tape was too much, i put it in without the tape and it fit fine and went to where it needed to be, but it has a slight leak...

guess i need to find some red loctite???

thing got aggrivateing so i threw it all back together for later, any tips, i think i know whats wrong i just need support lol, should i find another powertube for the stripped hole?

get loctite for the fittings. as for the striped screw on the side, it will require a new valve

GET BLUE LOCTITE. Red is kind of hard to get off and requires some heat. Blue worls fine

My holes stripped out to, i got a new powertube and it worked fine.

veloicty screw? yeah, but these are the side ones. oh and blue loctite sometimes comes in red tubes, so be careful

I'm talkin about the ones on the sides, i know it doesnt make much sense, but the power tube fixed it.

yea the Powertube is the black thing with the valve inside, the valve is a handfull of seals springs and o-rings,

ive seen spares cheap b4, i'll just get one, if i'm lucky it'll already have a hose lol, the thing came with red loctite and was no prob to take out, i like the red, used it b4 but dosen't matter nail polish will work too ;)

where can i find a new powertube?, i posted in the tradeing forums already, most of the searches i do online just come up with DOP's or psycho ballistics aftermarket metal tube, i'm nto looking for anything special just an original tube, i'll call tippmann next week when they open up, but i dunnow since this gun dosen't have a warranty

your local pro shop should have thousands of the them, its the #1 thing that breaks down on a 98
