I posted a thread in the air systems forum asking for the best chioce for an expansion chamber. I got a response saying that if my 98 Custom could run at 650 psi stock than i should get a regulator. Is this possible? If so which would be the best regulator for $50-70? If not which expansion chamber would be best for $30-50? I'd much rather buy an expansion chamber instead b/c they cost less. But if a regulator would be worth the money i'd like to know. I'm new to the sport and know almost NOTHING about air systems so i could use all the help i could get. Thanks.

Get your tank anti siphoned (search if you dont know what that is) and get the regulator. I'd recommend a Palmers Stabilizer for around $90. Yes they are definately worth it.

A/S + Reg > Exp. Chamber

A/S + Reg > Exp. Chamber Even A/S > Exp. Chamber

hrm... with your price range, you could get a bob long torpedo... or a used male stabilizer.

dont forget, you need a vertical adapter also.

Ive decided that i'll spend the money on the Palmer Stabilizer. Ive heard about 10 people say its the best. If there's anything else i need to know please say so. Thanks.

A/S co2 + used VA + Used male stab = best deal
A/S co2 will work well
Don't buy everything new, for the price of a new stab and new Va you could get a cheap nitro tank.

Expansion chambers have become pretty much obsolete as of lately because the anti siphon does the job much better and is way cheaper.

This is what I would do buy a vertical adapter from dop then buy a palmer stabilizer w/ a 45/45 fibber wrapped tank.

Ya and ruin a 80 dolla reg. :| But hey it's ur money. Co2 will slowly desolve a reg. even if it's anti siphoned. But if ur sugestin jst a anti. siphon u won't get the same results as hpa. If u get anti siphon and x-chamber u can get close but still not the same.

Ummm.....no. CO2 will not "dissolve" any reg, even if it isn't anti-siphoned. What it will do is destroy your o-rings and seals, however, anti-siphon takes care of that problem.

Palmer's stabs work perfectly with CO2.

Wait a minute.....if you're rich.....then why do you have a tippy? Not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with Tippys, but you have to admit that there are nicer guns out there.

I thought I was making it very clear that I was NOT saying anything bad about Tippmanns, I know better than that.

But you can't honestly think that they are the greatest guns in the world(or maybe you do). I don't care, it's not worth getting into an argument over. Sorry for having an opinion  .
