Do you use the inserts larger or smaller than the adapter breech?

I am not sure I understand your question. All inserts are 4" long and the adaptor is 5" long. The inserts fit flush with the breech end of the adaptor. The extension is 7" long and the muzzles are 3" long. When it is all threaded together the barrel is 13" long. I tried the short version by threading the muzzle to the adaptor for a 7" barrel. The accuracy was close to the full length barrel but the fps dropped off so I turned the reg up to get the same fps as the full length barrel. The shorty barrel was surprising accurate but obviously was not as air efficient as the full length barrel. I used a radar chron for fps checks.

The Equation Multi Switch isn't 13", it has a variable length which depends on the extension. It can be 12, 14, or 16", with the 6, 8, and 10" extensions.

Maybe you should buy a system. I purchased my Equation MS Pro barrel system directly from Gregg of Equation at his home and my setup is as described in my previous post. 13" long when assembled. Comes with 6 stainless steel inserts sizes .683 to .693 in .002 increments. After its threaded into the gun, cocker, its length is 11 3/4 from end of body. If you buy a system then you would know.

I believe the lengths work out to be 13", 15", and 17" with the 6", 8" and 10" extensions, respectively.

Good luck!

Sorry, I just put together my equation barrel and measured and it was 12 inches exactly.

u guys need to quit arguing, it's just one lousy inch, plus it is advertised as making 12, 14, and 16 inch barrels, i should know, they sponsor my team

If this is really that big of a deal to any of you, you might want to measure the length of the barrels from different guns...

The threaded portion on Autococker barrels is fairly long. I'd imagine the "on gun" length of the barrel could be around 12", but may vary "off gun".

So, we all may be correct! Now, if someone comes back here and posts the measurements for each and every version available, that person has way too much time on their hands...

The MS system is 12, 14, and 16 but the pro system is 13, 15, 17 cause of the adapters being 1inch longer ....

Ah... could this be the source of the confusion? Thanks irrific!

So, us "pro" system owners got a whole inch on those other guys. (Hey, I'll take an extra inch anyday! not that I need it of course... Um, what are we talking about again? )

Good luck!
