ok well the person i got my bushmaster from told me that the reg on it is an "icd minireg" i said i had never heard of it but he said its good. as i look at it and pictures of icd stock regs(the ones that came stock on the x milled bushies) i realize that it is the same thing except the bottom half is gone and theres a twist thing on the bottom for adjusting pressure.
now heres the reallly weird thing. when i unscrew the reg the most of the reg comes off but there is a rod that stays on the v/a that has threads that the main part of the reg screws into. sorry if that was hard to understand.
now my question is this: how do i get the reg off of the v/a because i really hate this reg and i want to replace it but idk if i can even replace it with out gettin a new v/a. ooo btw i have a gen 4 teardrop milled bushie if it helps.
please hate me because i really resent this reg. thanx. oo yea and you can im me if u want at cobain455

Hmmm, could you try and explain that a little bit clearer, like name parts with a proper name. :)

Gomster, i think he means the VA and the stock reg that comes with it.

Yeah IMO aftermarket reg is better since u got a pretty old reg there. And yes u are correct, u need to get an aftermarket vert adapter. Tantrum paintball has em. Or Doro paintball if u like Kapp adapter - this site has the review and i currently use one.

Heh, the ASA block and new regulator will be a snap to install, just unscrew the regulator and takes out the screws in the ASA block and whamo, you're done.

Yeah, installing an ASA is very simple. All you have to do is screw it in.

You will need this...

or

I recommend the CP Reg, Fatty Stabilizer, 04 Gladiator, or the Sidewinder.

ok but i'll prolly just order the v/a and buy the reg at my local store. im doin a job for my dad this week and i was planning on buying a new tank with the money but i think i'll just get my reg setup in order because i dont care too much about the tank.
but there is definitly no way i can do this without getting a new VA? thanx for the help btw.

Ok, that's what I thought. The top part that didn't come off should just twist off. This pic could help (don't pay attention to the black circle):

yep a 15* b2k asa will work just fine for the marker. The older regs can be a bit of a pain to get off. The easiest way i found to get the piston off the body of the marker is rettach the outter housing of the reg, take off the tray and trigger frame and use a strap wrench. By putting the outter housing of the reg back on it gives you a bit more to grab onto, just make sure you have the piston section as well and then it should come off pretty easily.

pick up a small strap wrench anything else may be too big. I like the craftman 3 packs, they are cheap and give u a size needed for any job
