View Full Version : Barrels getting really expensive?

I have been playing for 5 years........ Barrel prices have remained pretty stable until this past year I think........ My god barrels are now costing as much as guns......... All these new 2 pieces in the mid to upper 100's......... Does anyone think it will be long before the barrels break the 300$ mark.... The way prices have been shooting up lately I think so. Any other input?

I dont think they're getting to expensive. Most all 2 piece barrels are gonna be expensive. Take the CP 2 piece, J&J two piece etc..those are well above 80 bucks. I doubt that barrels are going to be worth more then $300 unless they come out with a new barrel thats actually not made out of aluminum or stainless steel.

Or maybe an "all-titanium boomstick" I bet that would break 200.

technically, the freak has broken the $200. I've seen it for 200+ on some sites, and if you factor in shipping it's usually over 200. I think barrels are the least of my worries. I think autococker gas and back blocks are way more overpriced than any barrel.

well the freak is sort of a kit... were talking bout 2 peices or am i wrong?

Yeh the freak is more of a kit which is like 8 barrels in one or however many the bore sizes come in the freak. I think hes mostly talking about 2 piece and 1 piece barrels.

Maybe a barrel made of solid gold would pass the 300 mark.... but hey cp sells 24 karat gold plated one peices for 80 bucks.

a all titanium freak would break the 300 easy..
also a freak titanium with more than 8 inserts would break it easy!

so u never know

the quetion is even pros wont pay for that **** alot of times

The reason companies are raising for barrels is simple, they see how much stock barrels suck, so they raise the price of their "2 Piece Boomstick" which most likely only cost them $5 to make and $5 to ship from china and then the overprice it to lets see..... $110 so thats a profit of atleast $100! I think companies should stop making crappy barrels... I hope Mike from CCI starts making his Nickel barrel for other markers...
