Just remember kids ... y'all have been playing long enough to have fallen in love with this game, and you're still young enough to get "Book Learning" and a good job so you too can buy several expensive markers and build a field behind your house.

I dont think being somewhat "spoiled" is that bad, unless the parents dont know when to step in and make some restrictions when the kid starts to become ignorant of the the riches his family has. Im all for being wealthy (im not saying this necessarily means being happy) and being able to support your family and have fun. But i have to admit that this kid seems to have TOO much. Hes either going to be successful like his parents or he will turn out like those snobs you see, who expect everyone else to do things for them and expect to have everything in the world. And when they dont get it, they act like asses. But if this kid is mannered, respectful, and good-natured about his affluence, i say "great...we need more of those kind of people in the world."

Oh well, doesnt hurt me for him to have those things. Im happy for him.

I wish I was spoiled.

I put more money into paintball than I should. My gun costs about 1/2 of what my Toyota is worth.

I have a spoiled kid in my school. His dad got him a go-kart ps2 a new computer for what ever. He started paintball w/ a m98,case of marbs,ss smart parts barrel, nvader mask, just to start.I started w/ a stingray kit that cost like 100 and brass eagle paint just to see if i liked the sport. I thought I was spoiled when my dad picked up the tab on a squeegie i lost in the feild and 200 paintballs. I thought I was high class. I work.Like work work. This kid i asked him if hes getting a job for the summer. hes like yea im maintaining my dads webpage.his dads a college professor.I'm cuttin grass. tilling gardens w/ pick axes and refing soccer. He'll make like 5000 i bet somehow

that'd be cool to be that kid but here and there you get satisfaction out of earning things. i have some acres to play on but i find maintaining it is almost as fun as playing on it. but i'd have to agree, that kid is pretty spoiled, my dad bought me a new spring set and payed for 1/2 of my expansion chamber. both of my brothers gave me cr*p about that for about 2 weeks.

I just think you get so much more satisfaction if you earn the money yourself and then buy what you want. You'll definately take care of your stuff a lot more.

yes - is this kid good w/ his 1000's spent on paintball? because im in highschool and this 8th grader is the same way. He was 3 paintball guns. A boblong, bushy, and something else i forget, but newayz. His dad bought it all for him. And the weird thing is... HE BLOWS. This kid is horrrrible at paintball. But he thinks he's good cause he's got the equipment. And oh yea - he cries when he gets hit

I know what you mean. I visit the local paint field and store, and I see these kids,(12-14) with very high priced guns. I asked this one kid that had a shocktech autococker, 88ci air america carbon tank, and all the cool little accesories, how long he had been playing,, hes like about 6 years,,then he told me he was 14,,,,ok. I mean they spend mad money on there kids. I guess if it was there , Id take it too.:)

i earn my own money for everything, and consider myself lucky if my dad buys me a co2 fill.

Man...even if my parents HAD that sort of money to buy me all those markers, they'd be like GET a job then you can have anything you want. Sounds to me this kid is one MIGHTY spoiled brat, all I can say is he'd better enjoy it now cause when his parents pass on, he'll probably have no one to turn to. I say all of us go to his house and bunker him at close range :D

Anyway, I am in the same boat as Cory, I work, put some money into the marker and then save the rest for other more important things (Like repaying my dad back for the car he bought me).

yeah, at my local field on saturday, i saw this little tiny kid with a nice shiney silver angel, a nice lil armageddon tank, and even a fancy hopper.(looked like a modified 18v) and i saw him fill his nitro and then walk over to the chrono tent. I watched him for a while thinkin "....." well anyway the kid was clueless. He was lookin all over the gun and tryin to figure out what to do with it or how it was supposed to "go". I went up there and asked him "hey kid, that sure is a nice gun ya got there. Is it yours" and he said ya so i was liike did your parents buy it for you? and he just shrugged and said "ya, my dad got it for me for completing 1st grade. i just stood there and kinda twitched... then i asked him "well do you play a lot?" and he said, "ya i played once at a birthday party" I practically had a heart attack and i dont even remember what happened after that. I just cant believe some of these people...

I get 92 averages and am always on honors, and my dad doesn't buy me a freakin angel. It's not like I expect him to anyways, I'm fine with a nice pat on the back and some money to buy something I want. The first grade! All you do is colour and read picture books. Oh yeah, you might also plant a flower and watch it grow. Look! There is a bud!!!!

just because people are rich dosen't make them differnt. Sure i m not rich or anything but just cause someone has more then you they are asses? I have a friend who is freakin rich and she is the nicest person you would ever meet and always polite. also don't be so jealous your not them and never will be so stop the water works and if your complaining about being poor do something about it. Complaining dosen't get you anywhere (unless you have parents hehe:) j/k). I mean im getting my first pb stuff which is a spyder com 2000 java 9 oz some zap paint and a nvader mask but im not rich. I have been saving and my parents didn't hand it to me on a plate(though they are helping me a little but it was all hard earned money).

spacer that story of yours makes me twitch... that's ... well.. ridiculous. I mean come on... when i got presents in first grade it was a double scoop of ice cream at baskin robbins. Not a 1200$ gun... i mean... geeeeez.

Dude, I Love being poor. I would hate being rich! I dont know why, but the concept of getting everything for free makes me wanna puke. I wouldnt even like it though. I am accually very spoiled. I get 5 dolars a day to clean the house, do the dishes, my laundry, keep my room clean, and get decent grades. I love the easy money, but now my parents dont buy me anything. I spend it all on paintballing. I am very lucky in my eyes, and wouldnt want to be rich, it would take all the pride out of having a cool gun and things like it.
