98 stock barrel replacement

Does the preformance of a barrel differ that much from 12" to 14". i play speedball and i use a 98C with r/t. Im still using the stock crap barrel and i wanted to know what size is best. Please dont feed me that "do a search" stuff. Also, would anyone recomend a CP barrel? if so, what size, 2 peice or one peice. or should i even get a cp? help me out please im seriously getting tiard of this crap stock barrel. I cant spend any more than $100 on a barrel. maybe like $105, but thats pushing it. (try to keep it lower tho)
