oh my god, im so excited.

i just went over my finances with my mom and i found out that i can afford a timmy, and she gave me the OK too.

so now i need to check with you happy timmy owners if my setup that i priced out sounds ok.

so here it is:

Orange Fade Bob Long Intimidator
$604

Psycho Ballistics Gas Thru Foregrip - Red
$10

KAPP Drop Zone II, Chrome
$54

Red 12v Revolution w/ X-Board
$56

Red Fill Nipple Cover
$9

Red Redz Barrel Condom
$5

Macroline Kit
$10

Total: $748

This will be ran on a 68/4500 max-attack w/ black redz cover.

Im deciding between the blue and the orange fade right now, so i might change all the red stuff to blue.

ill be shooting pmi/rps premiums as well, so will they shoot alright in the stock barrel?

any suggestions for what i am planning on purchasing? does everything sound like it will run pretty good?

i plan on eventually getting the delrin bolt as well, not so sure about the LP mod right now.

sorry if i sound all hyper right now, cuz i am. im just really excited, as you can understand.

ok im done, thanks guys.

Unless you play in tournies like world cup or world circut. dont even bother getting an LP mod. if its trigger pull keep it the same because the trigger bounces So you should be able to faster than a LP modded gun cuz there a bounce back. (Mike from "BOB long Ironmen" told me this.)

Gbeef

Please clarify your above post. What does the LP mod have to do with the trigger pull? Not trying to flame you just want to know what you are talking about.

The gun kicks more non LP modded than if it is LP modded. Some people can shoot a gun with more kick faster

what lube should i use?

dow 33, dow 55, or white lithium?

most people are saying dow 33 right now.

and where about gauges? should i get a pair for setting the regs? if so what pressures?

I use dow 55

for the gauges(HPR & LPR), county has some ashcroft 0-300 gauges. Trust me, you'll need em that low ;)

i only use dow corning 55.

I use white lithium grease. I don't think you will go wrong with any of those. My suggestion: get whats most available and the cheapest, because really, there isn't a large difference in the end.

Greetings,
Dow 33 = extremely low temperature bearing grease
White Lithium Grease = assembly/breakin lube - lithium soap based so it won't stain - wait, soap!
Dow 55 = silicone based grease for extreme temperature swings (-85F - 351F) primarily used for dynamic lubrication and sealing between rubber and metal parts in pneumatic valve assemblies.
(Above info taken off of the DOW MSDS and web site)

So, lets see:
Bearing Grease - no bearings in my Timi.
Assembly lube - it's already together.
Dow 55 - pneumatic valve assemblies and o-rings and wide temperature spectrum - kinda sounds like a Timi to me + Bob likes and recommends it.

ok, so 1 last question. i just want to finalize my list of stuff that i need.

Orange Fade Bob Long Intimidator
Psycho Ballistics Gas Thru Foregrip - Red
KAPP Drop Zone II, Chrome
Red 12v Revolution w/ X-Board
Red Fill Nipple Cover
Red Redz Barrel Condom
Macroline Kit
68/4500 max-attack w/ black redz cover
1 300psi Ashcroft gauge (is 1 enough to set the LP and HP regs? i expect my pressure would be below 300 for either reg)
1 tube of dow 55 (where can i find this? i looked on grainger.com and found a tube for $13, how much should this last me, its a 5.3oz tube? would i be able to pick up this stuff at home depot or something?)

and i will be shooting RPS/PMI premiums, will they shoot alright with the stock barrel?

thanks guys.

I used and will use white lithium grease. Only because thats all my local hardware store has and plus he said he knew what the others were and said they are all just grease cleaners not lubes likes others.

Doh! i got my mods mixed up what i meant to say is the tigger mod:) HAHAHA Sorry. Dont do the trigger mod.

I agree with you GBeef. I did the trigger mod and I don't think I like it and will probably change the harness back. I have not played with it much so I will give it some more time.

The trigger mod certainly shortens an already short trigger pull. The thing I don't like is that it also increases the force needed to pull the trigger. I bought a new trigger harness with the Mod already done to it so as not to wreck my existing harness ( Thanks Neil at MTN.) My point is I would not do the trigger mod unless I had another trigger harness on hand so I could un-do it. I will try the trigger mod with the SOB before I change back.

I apologize if this should have been a new thread!

yeah, i was only planning on getting a delrin bolt (which is the better of the 2?) and possibly doing the LP mod, heard bad things about efficiency with the LP mod though, but it might just be with the delrin bolt too.

thanks for the input guys.

The only bolt with problems was the very first MTN Delrin bolt. THat was the bolt which people had problems with the LP mod with cause they had to change reg settings. But dont worry cause MTN doesn't make that bolt anymore. It was all delrin unlike new MTN and all of Bobs bolts which have aluminum cores. I haven't heard anything bad about either of the bolts. But Some like the MTN cause you can dye it to match your gun. I am personally going with Bobs bolt cause well Im a tight a-s-s and don't want to spend the extra $5 and I like bobs better personally because it looks better than a straight shot bolt, bobs has some design to it. Thats just me though. I have the LP mod and I am quite happy with the gas usage. It is NO WERE near the gas usage of a Matrix but some say it is noticable though many timmy owners have the LP mod or an adjustable tank. Plus it is easier on internals.
GBeef, whats wrong with the trigger mod again? explain.

but 888paintball is countypaintball's beeatch when it comes to customer service, i would order from county over 888 anyday, and $12 isnt enough to sway me, especially with great communication Mike makes sure to hold up with his customers.

Mike, do you guys still go those $20 gift certificates ;)

its alright if you dont, i understand.

get those ripper pics up soon, im sure as soon as the pics are up and people see how sweet they are they will sell like hot cakes.

BTW, the pyscho balistics gas-thru foregrips look like the one on your timmy right, not the ones on the site? i would really like a chrome gas-thru, when are you guys getting the 32* back in? if not ill just order a colored pyscho balistics.

thanks.

If you ask for the $20 GC, I'll include it. You just have to ask (in the memo box of your order).

The foregrip on my Timmy pic is the Psycho Ballistics gas thru grip. I'm not sure what site pic you're talking about. They should all be the same. Maybe the lighting is off.

I have the blue ripper in stock. I took a pic of that and posted it. I just don't have pics of the other color rippers yet.

Thank you.
Mike

i dunno, it just seems like the ergo milling stuff pops out more on your's, but now that i look closer at the pic from your site it looks similar. bah . . . must be the lighting

i really want a gas-thru that doesnt have any of that ergo finger grooves, since i have gloves its harder to hold the grooves than it would be just a circular handle.

anyways thanks for the heads up on the GC

i will be ordering next week probably.
