My friend is interested in getting this gun. But at county paintball it says:You need to use an on/off valve with this gun

Do i need an internal on/off valve or what? What is a on/off valve. Where can i get one.

You don't actually need an on/off valve. It is a suggestion. The older Impulses had an asa that would open the pin valve before they sealed. We fixed that problem with an O-ring. The new ASAs fix that problem.

My impulse (5709):

you either need an on/off valve or gas it up slowly. The reg cant handle 0-150PSI in 1/4 of a second.
