I played in my first tournament ever on Sunday (3-man, did surprisingly well, were one-away from semi-finals), and we were forced to use RPS Flash paint (Marbs were sold out :( ). I noticed that I could do bursts just fine in both my 14" Boomstick and my 8.5" TASO, but at least once every game, I'd cheese a ball. Or two. Or more... I tested it at the range after our last game by firing about 50 balls manually fed into the chamber. Well, simply put, I cheesed the 6th ball I fed into it. I don't have this problem with any other paint (both I and my gun love PMI Premium), and none of my teammates had this problem (one using a 2001 Angel LCD, and the other a Model 98). RPS Flash isn't the greatest paint out there... comparable to 32 degrees Team Colors (tons of dimples). However, I feel that my gun shouldn't be cheesing like this. I have an extended nose bolt from AGD, and the parabolic powerfeed plug, but is there anything else I can do? Thanks!

Flash isnt great for mags, I'll tell you that. You need a good well rounded ball. Do you have a foamie?

Nope... just the stock bolt and the AGD extended bolt. Does AGD still have foamie bolts? It would be nice to have one for soft-paint situations like this.

I don't think the problems was caused by the bolt. I bet a few balls were a little oversized for the barrels. I chopped a ton of big Ball with 32º Carbon Fiber but switched to my 8.5 TASO Eliminator and no more chop.
So I think just a few balls were a little tight and got smashed by the bolt getting jammed down the barrel.

He has an 8.5 Taso Eliminator.

I also have a 14" Boomstick, and it had just as many problems. And it's an unmarked one, and the RPS Flash paint almost rolls through it (very loose).

Next time, you might wanna pre-buy some good paint for the tourny.
