Everyone should check out http://www.m98center.com/ How-To section. I did the following to my gun:

-Polishing the internals
-Custom trigger modification #2
-Make your own powerfeed
-How to silence your gun!
-How to stop that annoying hopper shake!
-How to silence Bolt Slam
-How to silence the sear click
-How to quiet the cocking "click" (found after polishing)

Combined, all these upgrades cost me $0 and significantly silenced my gun, as well as made it more effficient (that powerfeed thing really does replace the powerfeed that you'd buy on the web and would need another elbow for, and the polished internals increase performance a bit, although not dramatically).
Good luck with all that and tell me if anyone tried it, how do you like it or if you're having any diffficulties with all that stuff.

The main benefit of polishing the internals IMO is that you no longer have the anodizing coming off on your internals. I hated opening up my gun and finding everything coated in a layer of black oil. It also seems to make the guns action work alittle smoother and slightly quieter, but the m98 is always going to have a distinctive sound to it.

I made many of those same mods, and I no longer have that distinctive Tippy *ping*.

In fact, my marker is pretty darn quiet. That...makes me happy.
