Ok, i just got a hold of some info saying that it is better for you to have a small bore barrel for low pressure. I see the logistics but will it make that much of a difference?
Also, can you get an aka javelin barrel in chrome? Im looking for a chrome or stainless steel barrel for low pressure use, and the javelin is simply awesome for low pressure. Worth the bad looks of it... i might look into a lapco autospirit or bigshot.
Next, does a good low pressure barrel just need a minimal amount of porting or are other factors needed? Less porting the better? I think ive asked this before but i cant remember if i got a responce.
Thanks for your time,
Mike.

Yeh the AKA javelin barrel is GREAT for lp use since it has no porting at all. The bigshot is really good for lp setups to. The less the porting the better for gas effiency. Oh and another thing Im pretty sure the tighter the bore the better for effiency.

Ok, i just needed to check up, as this was the first time i have heard of it being better for efficiency. Do you know of any chrome javelins? I know they do not advertise them as being available in chrome but then again lapco doesnt advertise bigshots being nickel plated. Maybe i could send it to someone to get plated?

This isnt getting many responces... maybe if i move it to the top of the list it will get some attention. Ive narrowed it down to a lapco bigshot s/s... but im concerned about the weight/noise.... that makes me look into a cp but then there is the more porting and it is aluminum, (anodized) not stainless steel! AARRG!

I have heard the weight of a Bigshot SS is 11 oz. Not that heavy at all. Yes, LP barrels will be louder than a Smart Parts but you are going LP. I could care less about the loudness and really they aren't that loud at all.

Look at a picture of an ultra lite. See all that porting running down the barrel. Gas will escape from those holes and thus make the setup less efficient. DYE's are good barrels, expensive but good, but not really what you would want for a LP setup.
