Impulse vs Omen?

I am looking to upgrade my Piranha Ext Pro E-Force and i am looking to either an Omen or An Impulse Vision, which should i buy?

Better reg, better barrel, and can a stock Imp get 273, 273, 273, 271, 271? I don't know, haha but I got that on my Omen, stock besides a rail, which doesn't improve your performance.

Well, since this is the evil forum what do you expect?? I would take the impulse, just because they have more upgrades, are faster (especially with equalizer board), and I like the feel of them much more. And Omens are somewhat close to autocockers, and I don't like cockers.

Hahaha. Omens aren't anything like autcockers, beside the back block, barrel threads, and the fact its closed bolt. The Omen is the most unique marker ever.

I meant its sorta like an autococker because of the stupid back block, which I personally hate. And its a blowback.....

Blowback? So what its got kick, a Flush Cocking kit and a hammer kit will fix that. Yeah the back block is stupid and just causes kick.

Why not get a B2K4 without PDS, it is cheaper and by far better and has way more potential.

If you want a fast blowback gun, then just buy a Piranha e-force vtl for like $100.......:rolleyes:

Well, let's let the kiddies pick from what they've got and not suggest a gun which is superior to both. Between Omen and Impulse, I'd have to say Impulse. The Omen may be a quick blow-back, but it's spring return still restricts. The Impulse is overall a better mechanism, and the Max-Flo should be as good as the Det. On barrels, I hear the Omen's stock is beyond decent, but the Progressive fires well. And I am not SP loyal in any way, so I'm not saying this with much bias. I'd rather see PMI pocket the dough. 'Course, with the 50 dollar difference into that flush-cock kit (don't tell me, it's more, isn't it) I guess a Omen could be more accurate. ::Shrugs:: A B2K3 (again, older models=save some dough!) will outperform each. With a nice in-line reg slapped on.

oky i have sum more markers to add to the mix, since i did start this thread, oky i live in Canada and i will probably buy my next gun used but tha doesnt matter cuz its off topic, any ways i originally started looking between the omen and the impulse, since ive been looking at the impulse vision, b2k, b2k wit pds, and the bko 2004, ive also found a used angel 2k2 c&c for 100$ cheaper than it would be for me to buy a new omen, any help would be appreciated

but if your gonna buy an impulse get an eye or your gonna chop so many balls that you will find it more efficent to just go ahead and step on them before shooting them. i kno, my friend had one w/o an eye, anything over 5 bps it seemed to chop. he can get up to 10 now but that is because he purchased a halo b, which cost the same as an eye.

idiotwithaflash, thats so messed up. i used to use a non vision impy with a revy. i could do about 12 without chops. now i got a egg. i caouldnt chop with the stock baord (13.7 bps). now i got the equalizer baord and mt gun is very fast. no chops. also, i was playing the other day, and the ref was testing his freinds nasty impy with an equalizer. it turns out that the eqaulizer was not properly installed and the eye was useless. (hee didnt sand down the blockage, like he was saposed to, so the eye wasnt seeing the paintball at all. it was just senseing the blockage and still freing the gun. which is strange because the equalizer most does not fire unless it is a paintball only. ive tried with my finger, pens, random objects, nothing fires unless its a paintball or the blockage i guess). but he had a halo b with on his gun. he was maxing out the rate of fire cap. well there was no way to tell, but it was by far the fastest fireing ive ever heard, and i shoot about 15 and it was much faster. so im pretty sure he was doind 20 bps (the factory defualt. so idiotwithaflash ur freind mush be doing something wrong.

"I" think it deponds on what impulse you get. if you get just a smartparts impulse id say omen but if you got like a RAT id say go with the Impulse. And u said u need an eye for jus the smartparts impulse but when i had my impulse i never ever choped a ball ever but my freind has vision and his is much much faster.

I'd get the Omen over the Impulse cause it's boput half the weight. Plus u can get a new board for it (PDP board/ 25+bps) for bout $50 bucks installed/ $60 shipped-installed. Plus the Cam feed won't let u break any. Done and Done.
