I want to get a Tippmann 98 Custom and a Bigshot barrel. I know the stock barrel sucks. But, im a beginner and I dont know anything about how to fix a marker. I have about 200 dollars so i need the pros/cons of the Tippmann. Any other good guns for someone just starting would be a help too. Thanks!
PS
Some newbie questions...
Whats a vertical adapter?
Be nice... im new

You won't need to worry about fixing a Tippmann. They are built very durable and almost never break down. If something ever does go wrong, take it to your local field...they can probably fix it up.
i need the pros/cons of the Tippmann.
Pros:
Durable
Cheap
Good gun to start out with
Reliable
Good with CO2
Can be upgraded to a Reactive or Electro Trigger (but why...)
Cons:
Ugly
Loud
Ugly
Ugly :)
Any other good guns for someone just starting would be a help too.
Spyder
Rebel
Piranha
All relativley cheap and perform the same.
Whats a vertical adapter?
A piece of the gun where the tank screws in. A vertical adapter is usually located towards the end of the gun, under where the barrel screws in.
Be nice... im new
Welcome :) Hope I helped.

Who the heck cares if it's ugly? I've never understood that "point". I could care less if I have an ugly gun. If I can tag someone out, what do looks matter, eh? ;)
I agree with the pros:
Built like a tank
Easy to upgrade
You can do all sorts of mods to make it quiet (my Tippy is NOT loud)
Tippmann has GREAT customer service
Affordable
Cons:
Hm. To be honest, I can't think of any. I've taken care of the loudness problem with mods I've made, so that's not an issue for me. I could care less if someone thinks its ugly...so THAT'S not an issue. Let's see. Well...it's no Angel. But it only takes a shot or two to tag an Angel out anyway, so.........
I'd say you'd be wise to go with a Tippy. Maintenance is minimal since they're built so well, and if you DO Have a problem, you've got an awesome company to help you take care of it...

actually a vertical adapter usually won't be located towards the end of the gun... because it's a VERTICAL adapter. m98 doesn't have a vertical adapter come with it. it comes with a bottom line.
