Paintball Helmets?

Does anyone know if paintball helmets are in the works anywhere? im not talking massive football type helmets, just simple plastic/rubber full head coverage ones. if made right they could look extremely cool and provide better safety for your entire head. thanks for writing back with any info.

I doubt it. If you are worried about getting thumped in the head, get a skate helmet. A guy I know uses one, and it's fine.

Or, if you are like me, and have semi-long hair, mess it up and wear a beanie cap. Voila! Instant cap!

I use a old baseball catchers helmet. It works great, it is cool enough that you don't over heat and also gives you good pertection. I have been hit in the back of the head at close range and it is not fun.

ya i know what understand not wanting the hedshots, i just got bunkered in the head on saturday(hey it was 3 on 1 in an indorr maze type course, gimme a brake), it hurt pretty bad for about 1.5 seconds, the a little kid shot me six times from six feet as i was walking off. okay maybe ot was 4 but still it took my mind off my head. but you should try just using a beanie, it work alright, or buy one of those sock hats(jt, kapp, and i think someone else makes em.) they are supposed to be really nice.

well i think the mask with the most head protection is the 32 degrees head case. they say it gives u full head protection, but then again they could be talking out of their arse.

If I'm not mistaken I have played jungle a few times with the guy that makes those helmets, or claims he does. The one he has (and has had for some time) is actually a harley helmet, with spectras and realtree cover. Looks just like that one too.

His also has 3 or 4 fans.

I dont think anyone was complaining. i was just asking if anyone knew if they were in development or if anyone has talked about making them. i saw a guy at my local indoor pball arena with a makeshift helmet he built on his vforce armor. I though it was interesting and just wondered what the story was on pball helmets. keep the egos in check there fellas nobody is questioning your manhood.

Just stop by your local Army Surplus store & look to see if the have any helmets. My friend bought one for about $30 US. It works great with his mask. It provides excellent protection from paintballs on the head. He has been shot in the head @ less than 5' range & it didn't even hurt him any. Also neck protectors are great too.

i just wear a baseball cap backwards to protect the back of my head and neck. works great for me
