OWNAGE
07-27-2004, 11:31 PM
it may look "wicked" but it shoots like crap

all 3A products shoot like crap

search "demon" in the barrel forum and u'll see people who don't like the barrel

jamram
07-27-2004, 11:32 PM
that specific barrel? or just all demon barrels suck

OWNAGE
07-27-2004, 11:34 PM
demon jts are the same as demons...3A just makes thousands of auctions for their items so people will think "wow, they are selling tons of these so it must be good!"

ALL 3A PRODUCTS ARE BAD...i'd say they are near BE quality except for secksified a lil

EDIT: i'd like to add i almost fell into their market scam...until i read the thread about 3A

thanx guys..... I was gonna buy that. you saved my wallet...:) one more thing, i have narrowed down my decisions to a 14 teardrop and a 14 cp 1 piece. i no u will say cp1 piece but, how much of a performance differance is their? because if its not a big differance im probably going to get a teardrop. because it looks cooler.

Doesn't matter just get .689-.693 bore sizes. Whichever is cheaper.

ya i fell into there marketing scam and bought a 2 piece 16" prolly the worst barrel i have ever seen and shot it was worse than my stock barrel.

ok not trying to flame you here, but don't do that. While looks do factor in to the buying decision, it should not be your sole or primary factor. Performance, quality, price, looks, weight are what you should be looking at, in that order (IMO). I have no problems putting something that looks like it was set on fire and put out with the ugly stick on my Timmys. Like a Stiffi for example. Let's face it, it's ugly, but it's on my gun because it performs. A good looking barrel doesn't improve your shots, but a well made quality barrel does.

now im not sure because it cant shoot too well through broken paint, and its hard to clean.... anyone know which i should get? i need reasons though.

I say CP its wicked accurate. My friend has a teardrop and the paint he shoots curves horribly. From about 60 feet, my friend w/ the teardrop was aiming at my other friend's head, and he hit him in the arm.

o yea, if you're worried about broken paint, buy a good squeegee, and if the porting gets clogged up just dry fire with your hand or some other solid object over the end of the barrel. If you decide CP, DraXxus Midnight is really nice paint for mine. Just make sure you get the .689 bore size.

jamram
07-30-2004, 12:09 PM
yeah i have heard the cp 1 piece is accurate, but i have also heard its not. because the reviews said the teardrop curved a little on single shot, but when you shoot llike five at a time its real accurate. so would a cp 1 piece be the best decision, cause im buying this week.

daman 432 C4
07-30-2004, 12:32 PM
I say CP would be best.

jamram
07-30-2004, 12:59 PM
sure, but how much better is it than a teardrop?

daman 432 C4
07-30-2004, 01:38 PM
not quite sure, but i've heard people like it more, and the reviews are better for CP. Hopefully there's somebody that has experience with both barrels and they can help you.

Im usin a 14 teardrop right now. It is quite accurate, but certain paint does have a tendency to curve after about 30 or so yards. O yes if u get one defenitely invest in some type of ram squeegee, because if u break the thing WILL NOT clean itself out, and even dry firing wont clear all of the paint out of the ports. o and if you care about looks the little stickers on it dont really line up(i.e. mine are upside down when screwed into my xtra) , but looks dont matter to me, so that part is up to you.

jamram
07-30-2004, 02:59 PM
cool, so i just turn the logo the other way. what paint curves? would i be safe with rps advantage, rps premium and dusk?

daman 432 C4
07-30-2004, 03:05 PM
I'd say all RPS paint is pretty high quality.

jamram
07-30-2004, 03:07 PM
sweet. should i get a teardrop?

STO Balla 22

The Teardrop is nice, but a CP 1 piece is nicer. Most people find it to be a little more accurate, you can get it in different bore sizes, and it comes in many different colors.

every body just sys its better they dont usually say why. im looking for an accurate far shooting barrel. i dont use anything but semi auto, and i heard teardrops arent as accurate on single shot. i dont know about the cp 1 piece though.

i just decided to go for the teardrop. i think i will like it more.

Well, If you havent bought the barrel yet, Id go for the CP because.....many people support it and so do i. I just have to thank you for not supporting the demon/3a products. I bought one and man it suced. I practically payed $30 for looks and more ball curve than my stock barrel.

jam, before u buy it...go to ur field and ask someone who has a tear drop if u can try their marker and ask someone with a CP if u can try their marker

but if u already bought it...hope it works for u

if i decide to go to a real field instead of playing outlaw ball, i have to drive 45 min-1 hour to get to the closest field

make sure you get the .689 bore size because that is the average bore size of paint.

STO Balla 22

The Teardrop is a nice barrel and all, but I would feel bad not recommending the CP 1 Piece one last time. I think you will be happier with it, but it's your decision.

jamram
07-31-2004, 09:42 AM
i van always get a cp 1 piece later

STO Balla 22
07-31-2004, 09:46 AM
Yes, but then you're spending another $40. Why not go with a CP now and know that you made the best possible decision?

jamram
07-31-2004, 10:35 AM
because i dont think that is the best possible decision:D

STO Balla 22
07-31-2004, 10:37 AM
And why not? The CP 1 Piece has an advantage over the Teardrop in almost every aspect. Please tell me one reason the Teardrop is better.

jamram
07-31-2004, 11:03 AM
the teardrop looks cooler and than the cp 1 piece. and i think it beats it performance. plus i have a tlx which looks really cool and a cp 1 piece would just bring it down.:pharoah:

teardrop>cp1 pice

jamram
07-31-2004, 11:05 AM
oh yeah, and i found the barrel i was talking about. here it is.

jamram, you are such a noob.

Think about how silly that statment you just made was. If you buy a knife because it looks cooler, then you are foolish because coolness doesn't matter in a knife. I think it beats it in performance?? How do you think it does? Give an explanation here buddy.

Never buy any paintball product for it's looks, buy it for it's quality and price.

STO Balla 22
07-31-2004, 11:07 AM
The Demon is crap, 'Nuff said. Anyway, if looks really matter that much to you and you think the Teardrop looks better than the CP, go for it.

jamram
07-31-2004, 11:10 AM
first of all i am a nooooooooobie. and second of all i have no idea what im talking about so dont take aanything i say to seriously. i have just asked people in person whch they like better, and they say teardrop, and i dont see a reason to get a cp 1 piece. what is so great about it? the reviews weren enthuseastic enought for me.:dodgy:

Mr. Lahey
07-31-2004, 11:30 AM
I am faced with the same decision too. I am probably gonna get a progressive because the CP looks stupid and comes in weird satin finshes that would look dumb on my green imagine.

I say go for the teardrop

If CP barrels looked nice then I would get one but as it is, I think a CP barrel would make my gun look like garbage.

Two differnt shades of green on one marker?

OWNAGE

CPs come in polished AND satin:rolleyes:

that gives me a idea guys, i'm going to make the coolest looking barrel but make it so it's rough inside:laugh:

i could make thousands!!!;)
