this is of more concern for my cousin. he has a basic imp with the bottom line max flo. when he is all set up the thing is taller than him! hes a short kid so when he is crouched behind a bunker they have a better shot at his gun than they do him. we went to an mi paintball store and talked to the owned about it and he suggested that he get a low rise so we said ok we picked one out and asked him to put it on. he spent 5 min. with the rubber strap jar opener trying to get the feed neck off. we've never opened it up but if it doesnt unscrew does that mean we have the meld a new feed nech onto the gun or what. also for a christmas and birthday combination im planning on getting him the vert max flo to help with the size prob. is this a good idea or should i spend the $160 on sumthing else for him

defienantly get rid of the horizontal max flow and get a vert. other wise imps r just tall guns in general thats just how they were made. if u want a small gun go for a 03 shocker those things r tiny

As for the feedneck try heating it up with a blow-dryer to melt the lock-tite.

Depending on what hopper he has, I'd suggest a No-Rise. Also, instead of a Vert Maxxy, get him a CP Grip Reg from www.criticalpaintball.com .It's shorter, cheaper, and better than the Maxxy. :)

If you have questions about what size CP reg to get, get a short bottom and if he wants a gauge get a long top. If he doesn't just get both short.

I recommend the ndz low rise, its the lowest for the impulse. Yeah get a new reg, and also does he have a drop? If he does take the drop off.

the horizantal does not make it tall, its like having an asa on your grip thats on a rail. then under that there is a reg. and if you take an imp ad match it up to say a cocker (match up the grips). the cocker is longer, and the imp is jusgt a tiny bit taller.
