well speaking from the couple times ive played (im still a newbie)
but when i first played, this was a while ago, i had my brass eagle pump...w/ these lil 12 gram co2 things...which i guess some people like, but its annoying...i was probably the worst kid out there...
I remember, everyone surronded this kid in a bunker... it was like 5 ot 6 people, against one... ahah hed pop out and fire a couple of shots...he nailed me...and he lasted for like 20 minuets in there... it was amazing...i was in awe...
but dont feel bad for stupid stuff like that. Play smart, use common sense, but have fun...
like my friend was playing with a newb, and he told him, I GOT U COVERED. he was behind him and tried to give him some cover fire so he could move foward. Well this guy ran in front of him while my friend was shooting...DUR!
so use common sense...but most of all have fun...dont worry about being good, or randomly being a natural...cause the chances are...u suck... but oh well...its still fun as hell... hahaha HAVE FUN!

My advice: Use common sense, don't be afraid to get hit, and watch more experienced players. See what they are doing, and learn from them.

Communicate, move (don't hide in the back people won't like you nor want to play with you), drink lots of water, and just have fun.
You can talk to people and they will get to know you and maybe make a few new friends.

Do not move towads the big green ball! It is a harbinger of death.
Do not stray to the great yellow ball! It brings only sarrow and despair!
Do not venture to the attractice red ball! It sows only defeat and humiliation.
Do not go for the blue ball! Not only does this hurt in the bedroom, but it spells mischief!
Do not cross the pink ball! It shall scathe thy mind and body, sending you into the abyss of death and pain.
Do not stray into the line of any multi-colored balls! These look dumb!

yea well, it is common sense, but even then...there are people who still take them off anywayz... the people that lack common sense...
When it comes 2 common sense...im pretty bad...but i do have more then that...so i guess im a step ahead some people, ahaha

I've noticed new players at my local fields...
- take off their mask while in play to clean it
- call a "time out" becuase they've run out of paint
- shoot while in the staging area
- use a stick as a barrel plug
- think they can shoot back after they've been hit
- assume the person shooting at them knows they're hit
- have games start with their batteries off and their barrel plugs still in
... dont do any of those things and you'll do fine
tactics wise, all I can tell you is victory is achieved by getting angles... which is achieved by flanking around opponents... which is achieved by moving well under fire.
dont be afraid to get hit if you're moving under fire... it's all about playing with confidence.

NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR MASK OFF IN PLAY!!!
That is just stupid and unsafe.
Keep moving, don't be afraid to get hit, listen to more experienced players, and don't get intimidated
