Just curious, As most of you know, I'm soon to be on the market for an electro. I was just wondering, has anyone used the Defiant and Intimidator enough to compare how the triggers feel. I know a lot of you have one or the other. Just curious to see what y'all think are the differences in how their triggers work.

Uhhhh ya well the defiant can be set to you tapping the side of the trigger and it will shoot, and the intimmy has almost no trigger, your choice I like the timmy better trigger wise

The triggers are almost identical. The intimidator has less side to side slop (which causes the side tap shooting in defiants) and has an extra screw for spring tension. However both triggers can ge set up insanely short!

I take it that means there's no "Squeezing" off rounds, like with my STS. Can the triggers be set so that you actually have some "Squeeze" before it fires?

Unfortunately no, the only gun that sorta has "Squeeze" and is an electro is the e-mag. Most electros, people end u[p setting to short to notice any squeeze even if there was some. You get used to it, and start to love it, trust me :) As for side to side slop, the intimmy has just barely enough that you can fire taping the trigger, most of my trigger pull direction is sideways when i fire, but it's no where near as big as the bushey. Which can be a good thing, or a bad thing, depending on your point of view

Muck, if you want my opinion (sounds crazy, I know), Defiant/Bushy vs. Intimidator is a very unfair match. Read the latest review of the Intimidator (hell, read 'em all!). There's a guy on there who owns a Dark Angel saying that he used his friends Intimidator and thinks that it's better. Seems to me if you're willing to pay the (is it $600 or something like that? I'm not sure) for the Defiant, you shouldn't be too hard to convince to lay out an extra $100 (or whatever it is, at most $100 I think) for what may very well be the best gun available. Also, in case you didn't know, the Intimidator's trigger is adjustable, so you could have it however you prefer.

I'm looking at these two markers primarily because of the positive reviews I've read, and comments from reliable folk like Paintball Monkey and ElTwitcho ... As for the money, I'm not just gonna be laying out the expense for the marker, but also for nitro/hpa, revy, regulator and possible some other stuff ... so in the long run, I'm trying to keep it all as inexpensive as possible. And actually, I've found Defiants for about $450 to $550 ... and Intimidators from $800 to $900. I do appreciate the info about the Intimidator haveing an adjustable trigger.

Well... I know it's the same cost in the long run, but if you got the Intimidator you could just run it off CO2 for a while. Also, if you plan on getting a reg anyway (you said you did, so...) you can do a FREE low pressure mod to the Intimidator and run it at 180 psi! If I were in your situation, I would go ahead and buy a revvy, reg, and nitro, and put them on your STS. That way you'll be 100% ready for your next gun, and your decision won't be swayed by those factors. Also, you should see how people react when they see an Intimidator at the field. I brought some friends with me who don't play fields very often, and I was kind of showing them everything. They all wanted to see someone with an Angel, because of it's fame. When I saw some, I pointed to them: "See those two guys over there? They have Angels." "Oh, really? That's them? I was expecting something more, kinda, Idunno..." "Oh, hey, see those guys over there? Those are Intimidators." "HOLY SHIZNIT!"

Thanks for the input David ... I see where you're coming from. My plan is to buy everything at once. I'm lucky in a way ... I've opened an account at our company's credit union and I'm sticking $30 a week into it. I plan to have about $1100 by Christmas ... more if I decide to sell the STS. And I agree, the Intimidator is, well, intimidating looking ... I'll just have to see how much money I have at the end of the year and decide what I want then ... however, I like asking questions and getting feedback before the purchase.

Good for you, Muck, I hope you're happy with whatever you buy. Sadly I'm not going to be able to get back on the computer for a good long while..... we 16 year olds still have to worry about report cards, groundings, and the like... Just wanted everyone to know, if you notice I'm not posting any more, I didn't get tired of the site, I'm just grounded. I'm gonna put this in other forums, too, just so nobody gets the wrong idea... Talk to you in a while.
