:pissed: Hey, I just bought a new 14in" one piece custom product barrel on my custom 98. Everybody was telling me that between this and my stock barrel, it would be day and night, but i was really dissapointed with the difference. I'm kinda of a new player so i have a basic question: The only thing i could see that could be the direct cause for this poor performance is in the fact that the Co2 i had when i tested the barrel was like 6-8 months old, (not full) and the paintballs were like 1 year old (that were kept in topperware like cases). Paintballs were dusk. So my question is, with new paint and Co2, will the difference be much bigger???
tx alot for your comments!
If the answer to the question is no, is there stuff i can put that would make a big difference , like anti siphon or expansion chamber, etc...?

k, and looking at the bore size chart made on the site, i found out that dusk are "supposed" to be .686 , so buying like, blaze wich are .689 , will also do a big difference or not that much?

Paint-barrel match isn't important for an open bolt gun.
New paint is always good.
Get a/s if you don't already have it.

Old paint should make a big difference. Other than that, a reg or anything to prevent liquid CO2 will help.

Info on this is probably in the stickies somewhere or you could always go to otter's site www.ottersccustoms.com
Man is there anything otter doesn't know? I know he's really experienced, but more than half the questions people have are answered on his site
