Hey, i was looking at the LPK a few days ago and i was wondering if the DOP VA and Expansion chamber are really necassary. Couldnt the kit work jsut as well with a reg and the new bolt/valve assembly? as far as ive heard expansion chambers only restrict air flow in HPA setups. It would be much cheaper if you could find the valve and hammer.... maby even worth buying.

The VA is kinda needed if you plan on using a secondary regulator. But yeah, a LPK could be done without the help of the Tippmann LPK but that's a good amount of work and very few people know what they're doing. If you could/knew how to change out the bolt and valve then it's possible. In fact, it's been done, even before the LPK was out. Since the Tippmann LPK is out the hardest part is done(Vavle/bolt assembly). Rendering no need to make a custom one.
What people do now, since the LPK is out is buy it and highly modify it. With the LPK you can do alot of things with the internals that can get the A-5 shooting at 20+ BPS with a R/T. Although for the money and time you'd have to put into it I don't think it's worth it.
Expansion Chambers do restrict air flow to HPA, that's why you're supposed to use a Regulator with HPA and an Exp. Cham. with Co2. A good amount of people don't know the difference.
