I am new here, and new to the sport. I have yet to play a game of paintball, but I know I will love it. Anyhow, where can I do some research on the sport before its time to go play?

I just bought my marker and all the accessories, so I am really looking forward to it, but don't wanna look like an idiot doing it. LOL.

Does military experience help in paintball? Or are the tactics different? Where can I get some videos, etc?

What do you all think of the Spyder TL Plus...Thats what I bought. A veteran paintball playing friend of mine said to get either a Spyder or a Tippman to start.

Anyhow, I look forward to alot of fun on the field and here!!

Very Good choice my friend. The Tl+ is an exellent gun. As for information the very best way to get information is through experience. Hands on is certainly the best way, because you KNOw it is true. However i know that my knowledge of paintball has at least trippled since i have become an active member on this board. So just stick with it and do your research and you should be fine. Good Luck

Welcome to the club, GotSplat ... there are a lot of good paintball resources out there ... aside from PBReview forums and reviews, I'd try WARPIG, they have some good info.
