I am having a problem with my STS G3. I played with it for the first time yesterday and it worked great. I got home and finished cleaning it and put it back together. I tried to cock it but it didn't cock! I pulled the bolt back all the way until it stopped but it didn't click like it normally would and it wouldnt do anything when I pulled the trigger. I know I reassmebled the bolt hammer assembly and everything else correctly and the sear and hammer arent worn at all. What could possibly be the problem?!?! Thanks in advance.

When you cock it you should hear it click but if you didnt then somethings wrong. What I would think the problem be is that the sear isnt catching. Did you possibly do a trigger job of some sort?

I haven't done any trigger jobs and its completely a stock gun. I don't know how the sear couldn't catch because the gun is only 3 days old.

Well thats the only logical reason it could be. Unscrew your trigger frame and hold up the trigger frame tightly against the gun and then cock it. If it dont work its probably the sear because its not catching. Either that or check your striker and bolt o-rings for any damage and oil them.

I agree, the sear seems to be the only possible solution. PMI will fix you up if it needs replacement.

yo i have the same problem sometimes take it appart again and make sure when u put it in the connecting pin is in tight cause if its not it can fall out of place when ur puttin into ur gun try that it should work
The sts G3 has flush cocking on it stock, and if I am not mistaken the cocking rod goes back flush on the gun, so this means that you flush cocking is working great. To check this cock the marker and look down the feed to see if the bolt is back or forward. If it is back you have a winner.
